  1. Let’s face it WGR isn’t run by stupid people. They reallly only want to talk about the Sabres and Bills and Jeremy talking about his Syracuse. They had no choice but to jump on the UB hype and to get more fans to listen to them. Our family have stopped listening to all of WGR long ago. The Bucky and Sully show at least have a better overall mix of sports topics and have had more UB sports topics all year. Go Bulls!!!!!Our family have been wearing our UB apparel and the buzz is all around town. When we see other fans the refrain is “Go Bulls and horns up.” Go Bullls!!!!!
  2. I was at Dick’s yesterday and there were racks and racks of Sabres,Yankees and some Bills stuff along with Syracuse???? I found a rack of UB stuff in the middle of all the other racks. Dick’s very slow to jump on the bandwagon. Again money and influence talks with the pro scene. Our family have stopped buying over priced pro apparel long ago. Support our local UB teams that are winning and giving us exciting times. Go Bulls!!!!
  3. Do agree. As I have been saying all year the officials have been very erratic all year. They continue to miss obvious contact fouls and continue to call hand checks and little love taps when players are nowhere near the basket. Again until there is more accountability and officials are called on the carpet nothing will change. Go Bulls!!!!!
  4. Do agree. The best part of all this is the Sabres and Bills have been on page 4/5 and 6/7 in the Buffalo News. Truly that is where they belong but sadly money talks and all the big money monguls want to talk about the pros. The millionaires who collect paychecks and put in no effort when playing games. They said it on the Bucky and Sully show thank god for UB because talking about the Sabres has been a real downer. Go Bullls!!!!!!
  5. Do agree. The chair person explained that a number of times that the net is just one factor in making their selections. Go Bulls!!!!
  6. 100% agree. This entire coaching staff and players changed their attitude and coaching strategy beginning with the Ohio and Miami games at the end of the year. It continued right thru the tourney with three tremendous wins. Then the men followed thru with their wins and the celebration was on. Our family was their in 2016 for both men and women titles and some people were saying we might never see it again. Here we are!!!! Memories to last a lifetime times two!!!!! To be on the floor to celebrate with players and fans is just an unbelievable feeling. Go Bulls!!!!!!!
  7. I still do not understand how UB as a 6 seed and the most wins in the country can’t be put in a bracket closer to home?? The women being put in the bracket with UConn and Louisville and to top it off both teams playing at the same time and same day???? The women’s chair person was stumbling and never could answer seeding questions from the ESPN panel that made any sense to me. They all come across like they care about mid majors and the like but they are so biased toward the power conferences that it is sickening especially with her reasons for having Tennessee in the field. At any rate looking forward to wins by our teams. Go Bulls!!!!
  8. This has been the debate and the reality of what has happened in trying to schedule good quality teams at home. It would be great if all the UB home games were against high profile teams . As long as we have a competitive team with some exciting players and win games I think the fans will turn out. The passionate fans that have supported UB for years like our family will continue to come to home games regardless of the opponent but I do agree in the perfect world it would be great if we have a stacked quality home schedule. Go Bulls!!!!!
  9. Agree that Harris and CJ have to be at the top of their games. Hope Perkins plays like he did before the BG game. He really looked like he was stuck in cement, no quickness just like he was out of gas and then losing his cool and getting a “T”. Graves will have to continue his shooting efficiency, Caruthers needs to stay out of foul trouble and Jordan has to be efficient in handling the ball. In other words we need a total team effort on both offense and defense. Go Bulls!!!!!
  10. Do agree. He took over UB at a terrible time and turned UB into a competitive team. He was respected and known in the area and that helped give him time to turn the program around. He was really a nice guy and in his earlier years was easy to talk to and always seemed to take an interest in the opinions of fans. He just could not get us to the next level and it is always for a variety of reasons. It is still better for the local basketball community if our local teams are competitive and have success in their respective conferences. Go Bulls!!!!
  11. Congrats to Perk and Dontay. Congrats to CJ, Perk,Dontay,Jeremy. The accolades just keep coming for the players, coach and the entire team for the records they are setting. A great time to be a UB supporter. Go Bulls!!!!!
  12. We also respect and appreciate what Reggie did for the program. He came into a terrible situation but he also was given a decent salary and became a D1 coach. The problem is he could never get us to the next level and sort of wore out his welcome here. The last couple years were not very good mood wise as when we tried to talk to Reggie and some of his assistants at times they were very standoffish and did not show any interest in us as fans. But being that what it was he took us to a competitive level but never to the next level. His coaching personality will never change but hope he can have success at Canisius. Go Bulls!!!!!
  13. Yes the Bills finally ended the playoff drought last year but it was a miracle from the Bengals and they have a long way to go to become a quality team. It’s okay if you want to compare mediocrity to having success at 500. A winning playoff team would be great. Go Bulls!!!!
  14. Our family were talking about this very thing before the Bowling Green game. We were wondering how many fans would but tickets for a game at Key Bank Center. Just the idea that more seats would be available I think a possibility of 10,000 + could be achieved. This town has been waiting for a winning team and we all know this town supports a winner and an exciting team like UB. Enjoying this ride and Go Bulls!!!!
  15. Nate has not been here long enough like a lot of us that have witnessed just how bad the Bills have been thru the coaching changes and the players that have under performed. Just one year after the next of futility and non competitive football. Go Bulls!!!
  16. Maybe we can’t make comparisons about the football program if it is like trying to compare apples and orange. Maybe you can’t compare college football to running a business. If a business continues to lose money and their capital dries up are they able to stay in business?? For a football program that is losing money to stay in business because it is a good marketing brand in D1 does not make sense. But as long as UB is getting the money from somewhere even if they are losing money overall they will continue this path. I am sure it is like this in many colleges all over the country. As far as attendance those figures I believe are paid attendance figures not fans that actually attend the games. Their were many games where there were only a couple thousand in attendance. Will continue to support our team and hope more success next year. Go Bulls!!!!!
  17. It was a tough year with the Reese fiasco and Reggie not having any front court strength or decent big man. The game was like a lot of Canisius games this year. They had defensive lapses, a couple of cold shooting lapses going 4 minutes and 6 minutes in the 2nd half without a field goal and 3-28 from 3’s. Last year and this year they went into the game having beaten the teams they were playing both times in the regular season and lost in the tourney. Right now it does not look like Reggie has any decent recruits coming in next year. Will have to see what develops next year.
  18. O’Field was another highly touted recruit who left with Hurley. Never panned out at Arizona State. Go Bulls!!!!
  19. That’s good to know. Hope it is okay but some of our group just drink rum and cokes. Good to know we have all age groups of fans. We have the older.wiser guys, the middle age and the younger generation. We all have one thing in common. Passionate about our UB Bulls!!!! Go Bulls!!!!
  20. Thanks for finding and putting it on here. It was a great listen and Nate really comes across as a no nonsense guy and is very honest about many topics and just a down to earth guy who does apppear that he wants to stay. Mark Alnutt has to show him the love by tearing the contract up and giving him a raise. Go Bulls!!!!!
  21. How about if we are able to skip, use some of those new type canes, motorized wheelchairs or scooters and if all else fails crawl!!! After all being in th service many years ago many of us know how to crawl!!!! Go Bulls!!!!
  22. Our family wants to make big time noise in Cleveland. I have heard the ticket demand is great and I just hope a lot of our fans that showed up this year decide to go to Cleveland and we see fans wearing their UB apparel.and talking proud.Go Bulls!!!!
  23. I am not trying to be uninformed but does anyone have factual numbers as to what the football program brings in as far as dollars for the school?? With the number of scholarships and players along with coaches and support staff how much are they really making?? UB can not get much revenue from ticket sales and how much do they really get when sharing money with the MAC?? Maybe at some point someone has had factual numbers but I am sure a lot of the average supporters would like some facts to support arguments both ways. Again I am in no way saying we should drop football but does it make monetary sense for UB? Go Bulls!!!!!
  24. Good thought process. All the opinions about Nate staying or leaving that put all the emphasis just on money I think does miss the mark to some degree. In today’s world there is so much emphasis put on how much you can make that it does not put what you stated. You can still make a decent living and live comfortable without going for the all mighty buck. There are many people in the sports landscape that take jobs that make a ton of money but if it does not work out are back to square one of starting over again. Nate is in a happy place right now and is successful and is making a very comfortable living. But again the majority of people just see the money as the be all and end all. In my own case I stayed in a job with a decent salary because of family, friends and area and still had a very good career and comfortable living. Again I am not being critical of anyone who wants to make as much money as possible. There are many more Turner Gills out there in the sports landscape than people want to admit to. Hope Mark Alnutt shows Nate how much he means to UB and WNY by giving him a salary bump and I think he will stay. Go Bulls!!!
  25. What’s up with the UB website? The box score after the game always had the attendance. They show no attendance for our 3 home games when you go to the attendance icon. Go Bulls!!!!!~
