This is nonsense. We aren’t Kennesaw State or Stetson. We’ve made the tournament 4 out of 5 years, have a great current roster, and are a launching pad for coaches into 7 figure salaries. I’m sorry if I’m being an ass but this “no one wanted the job” narrative is garbage

Sorry, I should have been more specific. Should at least keep our current players here. As for banking the extra cash, they should use it for better assistants or put it in the rec building fund (does this exist?)

Can we even count Lanier if that’s the case? The guy took another job rather than wait for our search to conclude. That’s not exactly what I’d consider “turning down the job”

To me this is more encouraging than disappointing. If this is the case Alnutt is aiming high. Good. If he’s big game hunting of course there will candidates that decline.

I’ll probably get flamed but I’m glad oats and Hodgson gave their little farewells. They took the program to its high water mark, and I want to remember them with positivity. Their exit was definitely weird not handled the way I would have hoped, but oh well. As for the final 3, would LOVE to know the names. Kevin you should ask your boy Fife if he’s coming here 😂

So Charlie Jones didn’t transfer? That would be great news. I’ve been so into the basketball program I haven’t paid too much attention aside from obviously seeing the field house is ready.

I agree, and actually think it’s unlikely fife is in the running the way he got into it on Twitter. Feel like someone interviewing/ trying to get the job would be silent during the process. Who knows though

I read it as he specifically mentioned it because everyone on social media, message boards, articles etc were claiming that he didn’t.

The problem with this is the boosters at the blue bloods will just pay a kid 500k for an autographed photo and all of a sudden everything that’s great about college sports is gone.
