I was reading about the Bills win over KC and there was a blurb about DJ Mangas. He was actually in the coaching booth with Joe Brady at Arrowhead on Sunday. So props to him for getting that position and staying local.

Not UB related but some pretty impressive stuff from two other SUNY programs. Cortland rolled into the Division 3 Championship game. Their QB is a Buffalo kid. Rare for a Northeast team to make it this far as D3 has been totally dominated by Midwest programs for most of the 2000's (including Lance's Wisconsin-Whitewater teams). I think a Texas team won it a few years ago. UAlbany won at Idaho last night to make the FCS semi-finals. I saw some of the 1st Qtr on ESPN, they definitely have some good skill position players. They play defending champ South Dakota State next.

Should be a great game in a great environment. Maybe UB can decline the payday and make them an alternative offer. If the Bulls beat Michigan, The University at Buffalo is given full Big Ten membership. 😜

I think Lance will be the last UB football coach to ever recruit the old fashioned way....getting students athletes in the program and develop them for 3-4 years. Now it's plug and play. I'm sure even LL is having to figure it all out. In addition to recruiting high schools it would be nice to see Mo build up UB as a really attractive place for wayward FBS players to come. The players will use UB to get extensive playing time and film,,, UB uses them to get some wins. There's definitely a path to the NFL through UB, and you have an NFL team in town. Get 'er done Mo.

I know their record stinks but I'm giving the Bulls MBB team a moral victory. It's the first time I've really watched them this season, and i was very impressed with the athleticism on this club. These guys are fast and can jump out of the building. Obviously Butler has some size and higher rated recruits but I did not think Buffalo looked outclassed at all. Unless that game was an anomaly, I would expect the Bulls to start winning some MAC games.

Watched the first half and they looked pretty good. Better then i expected, except the 3 point shooting. Bad night or are these guys are just lousy 3 pt shooters?

UB football is in a terrible place right now.

Haven't followed men's hoops much this year but see they are getting beaten pretty badly in some of these final scores. What's going on there? I guess the new coach deserves another recruiting class before getting too worked up.

Sounds like Becky Burke is doing an awesome job this season. Therefore I have to wonder how long Becky Burke will hang around these parts if the success continues.

UB moved off Offensive coordinator Shane Montgomery in January. Let me tell you, he was like Bill Walsh compared to whatever OC they had on staff this season.

I assumed that, and I'm not going to rip the guy too much. I'm sure he knows what the problems are here. But one thing is for sure, Mo cannot come back next season with an offense like this. Snyder regressed, the QB rotation thing was a joke. Mo needs to spend every second of his time and resources on finding a viable QB, or QBs and add some speed to the offense. If he has to do that through the transfer portal so be it. Whatever it takes. We see QBs at the FCS level all over the place that are way better than what we have at UB.

One thing every other MAC team seems to have is a little WR or RB who is a speed demon. UB has no speed. They never do.

Looks like Ogbonna will be in shortly. Do we not have any offensive schemes to counter the heavy rush?

Wow, I almost forgot there was a big game tonight. UB is a 5 point favorite now. I tried to eyeball the MAC games to see if there's any reason UB is favored by that much? Just in general, it seems like Buffalo has generally shown better on defense while EMU looks slightly better on offense. Seems like a pretty even game on paper, so I guess the Bulls get that massive homefield advantage edge with a sure to be sold out-standing room only crowd on a chilly wet Tuesday night. 😀

Ooof anyone who had UB +7.5 just let out a collective groan. Sorry Mo you’re not a smart coach. Even sitting on my couch i said in the first half to stick with Cole. He can throw as well as hand off. But you called a terrible, try not to lose game the whole night.

The QB rotation is so dumb. They’re just tipping off our opponent when it’s a run and when it’s a pass. If Ogbonna were some amazing runner i can see it but he’s nothing special so far. In the offseason they need to find a passing QB in the portal or something and completely retool the offense. Tonight was a joke.

The D balled out for most of the night but there must be 20 missed tackles on various plays tonight.

Of course i’m joking. its sarcasm. But i bet Mo is proud of his rotation plan.

Nice Fake punt and offsides first down on FG. and whaddaya know, a 3 yard TD run. Who says you can’t just plow ahead for 3-4 yards at a time and make it a game? lol. Now Mo has affirmation that this type of offense is the future!

I don’t get why they are wasting downs on each series by having Ogbonna run. Miami D obviously knows he’s running. Should be grounds for firing, seriously.

They just need to stick with Cole unless he's hurt. The other QB fools no one and he gives no threat of passing the ball. UB scored some TDs earlier in the year against decent competition. Not sure why they have gotten so conservative. Miami’s D is solid but c’mon Mo, they aren’t Penn State. Just play to win not just kill clock and hope it stays close.

The funniest thing (sad actually) is watching Ogbonna run towards the sidelines and just throw the ball out of bounds, giving up. Dude it’s 4th and 2, just throw to the end zone or something lol. We Can’t have a backup QB that can’t actually complete passes.
