If rankings matter to some of you, Devin Ceaser is rated higher at the pg position than lightfoot according to ESPN. What the team really needs is two small forwards to replace Fagan and Williams. We could always go the transfer route as well to pick up players.

We also have a PG committed in his class, might have scared him away. I really don’t care if I guy from the WNY area commits elsewhere, a player goes where they believe they can play the most and see best fit. It has nothing to do with our staffs recruiting abilities, we are still bringing in great talent. Last years class was strong and this years started by grabbing a three star PG. if we don’t land him, on to the next one

Might come down to where he believes he might get the most playing time or he knows a coach there

Will be committing at noon per his Instagram, will not be surprised if it’s Bowling Green. Still have a shot at him it looks but haven’t seen much

I never minded the D2 opponents, especially Daemon. It’s a good way for our younger players to get some game time and adjust to the system

Great effort by the guys, wish we played a bit quicker at the end of the game but holding a great coastal team to 28 points and being within 3 shows how much talent is in this roster. We should be a force in the Mac

Maybe they’ve been in contact with him for a while and just offered. Could be a reason why we haven’t heard much in the recruiting front with him. Hopefully he visits UB soon, Coach Quarles liked the photo

We were also very late to offer, none of our coaches follow him on social media as well. We didn’t seem to recruit him heavily

I just remember some of our linemen being taken out of the game, seems not to be too serious. As for Ruiz I don’t remember how exactly he got hurt, if my memory does not fail me it was later in the game

So we are playing in two early season tournaments?

Ohio just had Preston go to the draft, that helps with recruiting heavily as well as winning a game in the tournament. We were in that position for a while, now Ohio has their turn. Buffalo still recruits very well and I’m confident our staff can get players that best fit our system. The best we can do is win games and hopefully some tournament games

I’m honestly more confident about this game than Nebraska, the teams at home at will be hungry to get some points on the board. The team knows what they need to fix and will be studying coastals tendencies hard. Maybe take a look at BYU’s win over coastal last year, what did they do in order to get the win welp I looked at the wrong game, still confident though

I’m pretty sure it will, if I had to make a comparison to a NBA player I’d say his game is similar to De’Aaron Fox. He’s incredibly quick and has hops

247 is very awkward, they give and take stars away at the blink of an eye. Maybe their ranking crew just hasn’t seen him play live? I’m actually more impressed with ESPN rankings over 247 or Rivals. ESPN ranks players on a very tough scale and it’s harder to be ranked by them. Still at the end of the day stars don’t matter much, just thought it was a good accomplishment for our new commit

My personal thoughts on the game: On defense the team didn’t look all that bad, they made some big stops throughout but small mistakes cost us. There’s a ton of talent on defense and a lot of new faces, confident the kinks will be worked out as the season rolls on offensively we struggled, play calling was questionable. Especially on third and fourth down. Our O line was tested throughout and did decently but wore down with injuries and constant pressure. The heat probably didn’t help as well. The RBs did the best they could and there lack of productivity could be linked to the plays that were run. Vantrese showed some flashes here and there but definitely was not his best game, can’t blame him when he is consistently pressured in the pocket. overall I was disappointed but we did play Nebraska at their house, a tough place for any team to play. I’m not going to hate or harp on Coach Mo and staff just yet. We did just play a power 5 team. I’ll be concerned if this was another group of five team. Coastal is up next, a mid major that I believe would be a middle of the pack ACC team if they were in that conference. They will be better than Nebraska but we are at home this time. I believe that the home atmosphere and energy will propel this team to fight harder and have a better showing. Kansas gave coastal some trouble at times so I’m confident we can as well

Nebraska’s QB gets easily rattled under pressure. I’m confident Coach Mo and staff will have the team prepared on defense. Offensively we got to keep running the ball, O line looked decent against a weak opponent. Nebraska’s defensive line and linebacking core will be tough to penetrate so we may need to have Vantrese throw more than usual. He looked good against Wagner but sometimes made some questionable throws to covered receivers. I agree that this is a winnable game but everyone who touches the field will have to be on their A-game. special teams will have to really stand out as well. I don’t expect us to score a TD every drive so Mcnulty may or will have to give us some field goals from 30+ yards. I’m confident he can do it but due to us being a high powered offense he hasn’t had to do that much in past seasons. He may be heavily relied upon this year, not just for Nebraska

I would’ve liked to see Logic Hudgins secure a spot at CB, he looked very good last season

Maybe it was rivals, one network had him as a 4 star. Verbal Commits has him as a 3.5 star

Any info on the team scrimmage they had yesterday? Would like to hear about how they looked

I believe Segu was rated fairly high or near the top 150, was a 4 star according to ESPN
