Yep. There is talent on the floor (some of it hidden by streaky shooters that have yet to find their rhythm) but I feel like we lack a true leader. Who holds the team accountable? Who fires guys up when things get dicey? There was a grit and intensity that came from CJ, Caruthers and Perkins -- I just don't see it yet this year. We need to figure this out quickly as Depaul is going to be a TOUGH game and back-to-back losses start to weigh on confidence.

Even early 1:1 pressure from a guard was effective at throwing off W&M's ability to set their offense.

The line has moved to -3.5 I tend to agree with @blue even if we can play zone... can we play it well? A weak zone gets you absolutely SMOKED. Do we try to implement it only to revert back to man when it's not working? How long do we stick with it? I say we play to our strengths and lock down with man-to-man and make adjustments via switching etc. as opposed to changing up our game for a singular opponent. This is a tough game on the road, a win would be a huge confidence builder for me (and hopefully the team lol).

Let the 19-20 accolades begin.

We said the same things about Oats at the start of his first season. I'm not saying I know for sure that JW is poised for success but given the players that graduated, he's due some early leniency IMO.

Bulls are a 6pt favorite. Looking to see continued improvement as the team starts to gel. Starting to wonder when will we see an on/off the court leader emerge...

The MAC Championship went that way. The Bowl game against Troy went that way. The Kent State game went that way. That's 3 in the last 15 games.

We've won easily against non-D1 opponents and put up a STINKER against Dartmouth. Hopefully we see some progress against a talented, disciplined Harvard squad in Toronto.

I gave the team a pep talk (currently living in Evansville) based on what UB has done to ranked teams recently.

I will say that segu has definitively taken a big step forward

This game is a waste of time. Sure we’ll get a W but they’re not using it to develop a true offense and look off on defense.
