  1. UB picked 2nd in the East per the coaches poll. We surely like the media more 🙂 Here is the predicted order of finished as voted on by a 24-person media panel. East Division Predicted Order of Finish Buffalo (19) – 135 pts. Miami (3) – 107 pts. Ohio (1) – 101 pts. Kent State (1) – 85 pts. Bowling Green – 50 pts. Akron – 26 pts. West Division Predicted Order of Finish Central Michigan (10) – 119 pts. Toledo (7) – 118 pts. Ball State (4) – 93 pts. Western Michigan (3) – 89 pts. Eastern Michigan – 46 pts. Northern Illinois – 39 pts. Predicted MAC Champion: Buffalo (14), Central Michigan (4), Toledo (3), Ball State (2), Kent State (1) (first places votes in parenthesis)
  2. UB Football on the big screen...literally Transit Drive-in Watch Parties
  3. I was all for KVT to start, but Lance liked Myers' tools, so I got that. When Kyle got in there 6 solids W's, 2 heartbreaking close loses, good game management and better accuracy than Myers, and 6 rushing TD's likely surprised us all...our back-up punter could run!?! And, no gimme games either like RMU. If it isn't KVT, I will judge it as emotion over logic, honestly.
  4. Buffalo News reports no Canisius or Niagara on schedule this season.
  5. Novitsky added to the Remington Watch list. Spectrum sports ran a report about it, showing a practice rep. OL was Awosika - Gabe Wallace - Novitsky - Gall - Fuzak. If Thomas-Ishman ends up as a reserve that speaks volumes about Fuzak and Wallace's development.
  6. The BN had a small piece on football's upcoming season. The only new info I noticed was Leipold said had no players opting out at this time. We added 2 new transfers from FCS based on the updated roster: James Hook, a R-Fr punter from Wagner, and Mason Hoose, a local TE who started out at a JUCO in California, then ECC, then Jacksonville U, who they cut their program.
  7. One month in $192,898.06, so far so good. More media engagement today with a mention in this article: https://www.espn.com/mens-college-basketball/story/_/id/29993776/why-mid-low-major-college-basketball-programs-big-trouble-buy-games
  8. I'm so glad they released the data, openness is the proper route to go. https://www.wivb.com/sports/university-at-buffalo-bulls/ub-implementing-changes-to-covid-policies-after-25-student-athletes-test-positive/
  9. From posts I have seen it will be 3 weeks of mid-week games, then Saturday games 11/28, 12/5, and 12/12. My question is, with just 6 games, hopefully the MAC Championship game and a bowl (and hopefully no positives/cancellations) can Patterson get to 1000 yards!?
  10. 6 special teams snaps for Cam week 1, 4 for week 2. Mack had a decent game. Schreck and Harris haven't gotten a snap. Watching the highlights of the Falcons-Cowboys, Means got a ton of snaps due to injuries. 61% on defence and 25% on special teams.

  13. Zachery charged with second degree assault and fourth degree criminal possession of a weapon. Hoping for a full recover for the Canisius player. I know, innocent until proven..but my mind is focused on Gallion and Robinson all the way now. Shades of McKenzie and all his charges before he could blossom..what a waste.
  14. #76, very respectable. They have us as the second highest 13 seed, just ahead of projected 13's, Yale and Furman. https://www.collegesportsmadness.com/article/18707
  15. Buffalo News Alnutt Piece A nice BN interview with Alnutt. Basically, the conference decided there was too much uncertainty, "Until we know more, why risk it?", Alnutt said. On the financial side the BN found: UB's football revenues of $9,724,780 in 2019 made up 21.1% of UB's athletic revenues ($45,977,952), according to the school's NCAA Membership Financial Report, obtained by The News through a Freedom of Information Law request. Included in that football revenue was $945,529 in ticket revenues, $2,040,455 in student fees, $3,808,510 in direct institutional support, $1,050,000 in guarantees from games and $369,766 in bowl revenues....Alnutt said the pause in fall sports could also reduce some expenses for the athletic department, and that UB has a “healthy” reserve fund that could be utilized to reduce a budget shortage. UB is giving its season ticket holders in football the option to convert that payment into a donation toward the athletic program, to ask for a refund or to use that payment as a credit toward future season tickets. UB's athletic department also plans to launch a donation campaign....Any decisions to freeze contracts, reduce salaries or furlough department employees, however, would not come from UB, as it is part of the State University of New York system."We’re still operating as an athletic department as we move forward," Alnutt said. "In terms of any furloughs, we’re a public institution, so we can’t make that determination as a campus or as an athletic department. That would have to come from Albany if there is a furlough for state employees, and once that determination is made, we’ll follow suit, moving forward. As we progress to the rest of this fiscal year, we have to be very diligent in terms of how we spend and what we spend it on, realizing the revenue piece is not there as it is, and how it sets up for the fiscal year 2022 and beyond.”
  16. Rob Lanier. I'm curious how well he leads Georgia State in comparison to how well Whitesell keeps us going strong. Plus he grabbed Joe Jones out of The Park School, out-recruiting all the Big 4 for Jones.
  17. High certainty, based on opinions. Lunardi has us a 14 seed, other sites have either us or BGSU as the top team. As mentioned in another thread a while back, Akron was gutted. Now just a matter of how high they place us. I'd imagine we will be in the next 5 slots. If we get lower than 85 then the authors have a lot of confidence. I'm curious to see how they slot us compared to Bona, Vermont, and Georgia State.
  18. BGSU slotted in as 2nd in the MAC, at #91, right ahead of DePaul at #92. We're 1st!
  19. The 144 countdown rolled out all the 14 seeds in their mock bracket in their rankings to this point, with the #1's for the WAC (NMSU) and CAA (Delaware) being listed the last few days. Hope to see BGSU soon then expect to see UB as a 13 seed.
  20. Ohio was removed from New York's quarantining requirement today..too late for football now, but hopefully all who have complied and will continue to comply, will help to mitigate no 2nd wave and MAC East play in 2021! No ACC-state schools removed..I would be gleefully SU-hate satisfied if NYS pushes the ACC to sit it out by not granting any SU waiver.
  21. Old Dominion annouced no fall sports but CUSA has not yet..not a good look at all. I was remaining hopefull to the end, just based on how well Buffalo and UB were doing in fighting the pandemic. But no surprise what is transpiring now. As much as the superstars on teams are eager to play, and the NCAA is lacking in leadership in any way, it is the presidents who are listening and leading. NFL Saturdays won't be a horrible alternative.
  22. Buffalo News reporting the MAC will meet tomorrow to discuss the football season.
  23. Roster updated, Zachary #4, Robinson #2. Your 2020-2021 (hopefully safe and healthy) Bulls
  24. Big 12 announces 9 conference games + 1 home non-conference. Now just wait and see if it will be K State or K State would rather host North Dakota, as the MVFC is just waiting to see what the FBS conferences choose. Or MAC goes all conference. I'd bet on MAC going all conference +1, +1 being Army the simplest outcome for us.
  25. Goodbye St Francis NEC Postpones Fall Sports
