  1. Akron is playing hard. Not shocked after last week. They want a spoiler role. Good 3 and out here. Bulls need to score on this drive and get going.
  2. I'm not sure what to think. Akron is 2-9 but playing up. UB playing down. I don't care how they do it. Just win and get a bowl game. I have no idea how to describe this season for UB. Great 5 game win streak. Played well enough in some of the early ones. Blew a couple... The bulls aren't a bad football team but it's been a weird one for sure.
  3. Good win. 2-4 obviously isn't great but not concerned about the record really. Some things to like about this group. Interested to see how to look come MAC schedule with the toughish ooc
  4. Despite being 1-3 there are definitely some things I like about this team. I have no idea what they'll look like come MAC schedule but seems like it could be a fun group to see grow. It's tough being in a down/"rebuild" and not being a top pick in the MAC for the first time since Hurley took over, but is what it is.
  5. I can see the stadium from where I am now. Would have been fun to play if both teams were here. That being said I have no issues with all the potential scenarios. Hopefully UB takes care of business next week or at least a bowl scenario pops up.
  6. Ill admit ever after the 0-3 start I didn't feel this team was horrible at all so the 5-0 run doesn't shock me but can't say I expected it. This win is really the stamp so far. To go 4-0 in the MAC EAST, beating Toledo, the way they did it too... We are in the MAC East drivers seat so quickly.
  7. Overall UB the better looking team. Tons of good shot looks. Vols looked lost with our pressure in our end.
  8. Woolley and Fair show that I was hoping to see. Very fun so far!
  9. A Segu buzzer beater away from being out, looks like Akron cruising to a MAC title tonight.
  10. Ugly against the press here. But what a clutch shot for Woolley late only up 2. 21 pts in the 2nd half.
  11. Maybe no Jack but hopefully Fair and Woolley still next year? Wow
  12. That 3 felt big even though its only 5 points with alot of time left. Would like a couple stops to extend it a bit.
  13. This has been a dog fight in the 4th. Back and forth. Would like to get a bit of lead going.
  14. Some people enjoy being glass half empty as a fan. Some people prefer to be glass half full. Ive enjoyed watching the Bulls with the half full mentality and its been a fun last decade (honestly fun last 20 years). But if people have fun being negative and over the top, they have that right. Not sure how someone enjoys being a fan with half empty style but heck even in our glory run there we had people who preferred to be mad instead of enjoying being ranked #14 and 32-4 so I guess anything's possible. Enjoy.
  15. Good to finish out that one on the road. Streaking towards the tournament is always good. Couple against NIU shouldn't hurt either.
  16. I like having both of these schools for basketball/football. Good adds.
  17. I personally have always loved the downtown basketball games but they don't have the pull they did for the previous generations. I think the first one I personally attended was back in 2004 when we played Indiana St (and pounded them) before Bona played Canisius. I also think UB vs Bona this year would have been fun simply as a neutral site game between 2 really good local teams. Id agree the lineup is sad. I know the "Big 4" thing isnt going to happen as we want it but something better than NU/Albany. At least the one in 2004 you had Bona there. I feel like if they could have even gotten the Bonnies playing a cake opponent somehow it would have been a better "card"
  18. I just appreciate that we had him for as long as we did. It was great. I think UB tried really hard to convince him to stay, just about anything they could but the money and pull of Bama wasn't going to be beat. Thats why after the dust settled I have nothing against him and no issues, only appreciation for we had. I dont have the same fondness for Hurley though even tho he got our first and brought in Oats, something about Nates tenure will stick more long term... and it was also sweet beating Bobby in the tournament like we did.
  19. Ive generally never been one to get too up or down throughout the season. Its too difficult even in our best years recently the start is not always indicative of the finish. However tonight's performance would go a long way in showing that this group could be legit and more consistent. Even if they lose Ive already loved what Ive seen from most of the big guys compared to last season.
  20. Im just over the moon again. In my lifetime checklist of things for the program, being ranked, both the mens basketball AND the football were two things I thought were the longest shots. Its very hard to get ranked to begin with but here we are. I also dont care what type of year this is. This team has a fantastic O Line, one of the best in the country and one of the best RBs in the nation. So awesome. I really wasn't sure this would happen in my lifetime. Even a very good year after year program could still never be ranked and now we had the Basketball team up to #14! Ill take #24 and no more but heck if they wanna keep moving up go for it! Its sad that its a year when we can't see it in person but its all great to me! I love having programs from the Basketball season where it said #16 next to our name, sadly wont have the same keepsake from the football team this year 😞
  21. Honestly sad for programs like Rutgers who haven't made the tournament since 1991. Or Dayton/SDSU who are having pretty wild years overall. Again not to make light of it but very glad this happened in our down year and not during our recent run especially last years incredible season.
