A freshman QB came in from there. So they routed UAB by running like 40 times. UB can't really stop the run or the pass so not loving their chances even if he doesn't play this week. There are actual periods, when you can actually put your name in it. I think this statement is that he is going to put his name in the portal. One period starts the Monday after all of the conference championship games. There is another period after the spring practice season. My guess is UB plays spy on the QB, sells out to stop the run and then we see how the DBs hold up in coverage. Could be a lot of big plays. Feels like we’re due to get some takeaways. It was kind of UB’s bread and butter last year, but makes you wonder if it was more about luck than anything else. Is it possible our DB’s giving up big pass plays is the result of gambling on getting picks rather than staying with their man and being content to knock the ball down? Or is it more about bad schemes/coaching? Try to make it to the 4th Qtr and not be down by three TD’s. But, let Cole throw it a bit on early downs.
