You are correct in that Coach LL cancelled practice only for the first full day down there. It was sitting in the high 80s, and the practice field is garbage. If you want to use the term "blew off", apply it to Coach Healy and "Club Lotte". Cancelled all of their practices, didn't hold a walk through the day before the game. While our players had curfews that saw them in their rooms progressively earlier each night, Charlotte had no curfew. The night before the game, we were walking through the casino at the resort at about 12:30 a.m.. A number of the 49ers were in there. Coach Healy needs to grow up and realize that he's their coach, and quit trying to be one of the boys.

I'm fine with it, I expect it every fifth game that Grant might play well. I'm more concerned at UBBulls08 claiming I take PERSONAL attacks on players and then takes some on me. This isn't personal, this is only basketball. This is a discussion board, we are allowed to discuss why we do or don't like a play, player, coach, or anything related to this sport. We've been generally considered a current mid-major powerhouse. We shouldn't be excepting of "aw shucks he could have been good" anymore. This isn't 2003. When I'm on this message board, I'm a FAN of this team first. There should be no blurred lines. Those who know me, know how much I like this team and like to talk about this team. I generally come here where I expect the biggest and best UB fans (hence the name) out there. I don't expect every one of you to agree with me but it's really part of any sport to potentially dislike the basketball play (not person) of a player that receives meaningful minutes. If I give updates or reports, its supposed to be used to keep anyone informed that cares, not assert my dominance. I'll stop bringing any reports to this fan message board.

Can we all just agree that we want Grant to perform well. And grow and develop into a useful player who contributes. The Niagara game was a step in that direction. We will see if it’s a building block or just an outlier.

I don't consider this a "pick off" when a guy leaves to go coach at his alma mater. Pretty much any coach would leave their position to coach at their alma mater. Best wishes to him.

It’s in the other thread, but those wanting to make some noise since students/band are gone on break, feel free to join us in the true blue section.

CUSA has been way worse than the MAC in basketball for years and only marginally better for football. No way is that worth the increased traveling cost. the old pre-AAC raided CUSA maybe but the current CUSA is a shell of its former self. I’ll stick with the MAC until a spot opens up in the AAC.

I forgot to Praise Vantrese. He was so spot on today. His best game.
