  1. Jack’s stroke is pure. Blocker and Jones are incredible athletes. Could see them progressing into the defensive stoppers we need. If not this year, next. Played well defensively, rebounded, got to the rim. Perry is a dog. Efficient scoring tonight. Mading is raw and definitely had some nerves tonight. But man is he long. Great put back dunk. And his elbows were above the rim on the one he misses. Overall, good outing for the new guys. I’m excited to watch them progress

  2. Mading did that like he expected to do it. Like its common occurrence

  3. I agree with every body on the 3pt topic. In piggybacking on this I’m just going to add…get use to seeing Mballa shooting a 3 or two. Hardnett when he comes back. Skogs…it’s the way the game is played. Not at 3s are equal…if we shoot them in the flow of the offense fine. But let’s not jack up 3 just for the sake of it…all about shot selection and ball movement as you guys have mentioned.

  4. I also agree. It has just changed the game drastically and no matter how much we moan about the game it is here to stay. I think if you look at results of many games the losing team has had a very poor 3 point shooting percentage. It seems we hear the coach’s comment that they tell the players to just continue shooting even when their shooting is way off. The coaches should be able to alter a game plan with some mid range shots and drives to the basket but they all seem to stick with how the game is played now. Being a basketball junkie all my life I will continue to enjoy this game. Go Bulls!!

  5. In the world of analytics, the mid range shot has become obsolete. Getting to the rim, getting fouled, and shooting 3’s is going to be what this team and many teams live and die on

  10. Looking forward to Mballa, Williams and Segu’s senior year, as well as Brock’s senior citizen year.

  11. Agree with what you are saying. I would say that regular season wins would be correlated to MAC tourney prospects, so I agree with your point of 17 win team winning MAC, possible but not the most likely. As for tournament being a crapshoot, I looked at last 20 years of semifinal results. The top ranked of the remaining semifinal teams won only 50% of time. So top seed in current format (I.e. win 3 games) would proabably have 25-35% chance of winning tournament. Note I focused only on semifinals, because changing format of tournament makes it impossible to compare across years. So in my opinion, you need to consider the whole season and not judge solely based on 3 games in Cleveland. That said, I want a championship.
