  1. I share your delusion, I think we can win every game, including the Bonnies! Let's bring it.

  2. They’re a good team. I feel they’re not playing up to their potential yet. All their games have been close and not dominant by any means. Will be interesting to see if they can play even better. Feel we can definitely beat them however. They have a very short bench as well.

  3. Actually good they won. Want them to be ranked as high as possible. They do have a short bench too. Game with them may come down to who has a better night, their big 3 or ours. Lofton was very good down the stretch.

  5. I would avoid FloHoops like the Plague, if I were you. I signed up last year. It never worked for me. I was unable to navigate its site, and never saw one second of any college basketball, let alone UB. I tried to cancel but was unsuccessful. I was unable to contact them by phone, text, or email. Every month they charged my credit card $29. I would call the bank and have the bill reversed. Finally after the 3rd or 4th month of doing that, the bank told me to destroy my credit card, and it issued me a new credit card number.

  6. To your point, it pained me rooting for Bona against Boise State yesterday. But we want to come home from the sticks with a ranked scalp on December 4. I just bought one of the last single seats available. Pray for me sitting alone in a bowl of brown.

  7. I definitely share your enthusiasm. And agree with us being favored. I just wonder if this squad can handle the pressure of playing knowing one loss ruins everything. Like the CJ/Perk/Oats squad did. And also I wonder if our non conference opponents will win enough themselves. For the more our non conference opponents win the better it looks when we beat them. To this point, our non conference opponents have been bla. All this being said we control our own destiny.

  8. The key is winning out in non conference, which besides the bonnies game ub will be favored to win or be a pickem type game in everyone of them I was looking at what the current schedule and where quad 1/2/3/4 breakdown is and right now its 2 games q1, 6 maybe 7 q2 depending who ub plays in the second game of the tournament after sfa then another 7 q3 and 13 q4 A q1: 1-1 q2: 6-1 q3: 6-1 and q4: 12-1 not sure it gets it done but at least gets ub on bubble graphics and have bubble discussion (above would be the 9-1 out of conf and 17-3 mac) I know I'm delusional but this is part of the fun in following college basketball

  9. Using Barttorvik 'Game Score' you will see that there tends to be improvement over the course of the season. Here are the two years under Whitesell: Looking at prior years one will often see this upward progression, which is possibly a combination of the team improving and the level of competition being a little lower. So I am optimistic that the team will improve. That said - so will other teams. We will have to improve more to attain goals we have set, including contributions beyond starting 5. Nothing has changed for my perspective as a result of first two games - not a large enough sample. Ohio and UB are still likely the teams to beat. It comes down to how you define a successful season - is it a MACC win or nothing, or is it the collection of the season. Quite frankly I would not want to be judged for my performance for the year on something that is 2/3rd likely not happening. Repeating what I have provided in past comparison of team rank for last four coaches. With some modest improvement over our current rank of 77 to say 65, would be in top 3 rank for program history. Would I be satisfied with a rank of 65 without an NCAA tourney appearance, as a fan - no way. But I don't think you need to fire the coach in that instance. That doesn't mean your critique and others are invalid, but I would say approach as 'feedback for improvement' rather than 'criticism' One other point I have made in the past - Oats is a special coach - not a dime a dozen. You are not going to just be able to find a coach the caliber of Oats every 3 to 4 years. Look what he has done with Alabama:
