  1. Saw that last night. It was well done. Great friendship.
  2. Or something even better than One Buffalo. Their Porter and IPA are good. Their Stout on Nitro is awesome.
  3. Let's not sit on our hands that night. BE LOUD! MAKE SOME NOISE! Make this young man want to be here.
  4. Hand raised. Along with at least 6 others traveling with us.
  5. That was not a shot at non-boosters. I apologize if it came across that way. It was just clarifying the answer to the question that I had asked earlier in the thread. What I was saying was that buying 50/50 tickets at the game does not disqualify you from being able to speak to recruits.
  6. You mention crowd noise, or lack thereof. The students did a great job. They're fun to watch. Listening to a couple of the cheerleaders last night. They're frustrated that, when they run around with the signs that say "get loud" or "Make some noise", very few people do anything. These Student - Athletes (players and cheerleaders alike) are going all out on the court. The fans need to get on board. Show some appreciation and vocal support for what they're giving us.
  7. I talked with the crew at half time last night. They were loving it. One told me, "when they hit shots at that rate, there aren't a lot of fouls to call".
  8. I spoke with our Compliance guru last night before the game. Purchasing 50/50 tickets at the games does not qualify you as a donor
  9. The only bad thing about this is, only one of them could lose the game.
  10. Brook, does purchasing 50/50 tickets at games qualify as being a donor?
  11. Harris seems to be forcing way too much on offense. He drives to the basket and is trying to lay one off of the glass, but he's still 6 feet to the left of the backboard. Excuse me now, while I go back and read Squire's posts. Sounds like there's some entertainment to be had.
  12. I hope that's where he would direct it. And... if you wanted to make a donation direct to Roswell Park, p.m. me and I'll send you the perfect means to do so. A number of people on this site have already done so. Voting multiple times daily.
  13. We usually wait until the day before we go and priceline 4* hotels in downtown Cleveland. We normally end up between $80 and $90 a night. We've always been able to walk to the games. One year we were at A-loft, that's the furthest from the arena we've stayed. Walked to and from the games. UB usually takes over the Hairy Buffalo. It's a few hundred yards from the arena. The only time we needed transportation was to UBER / LYFT to Great Lakes Brewing. If you have Saturday morning open, catch a ride to the City Market (right across from Great Lakes Brewing, how convenient) Red and I, along with Dropout (RIP) and Gayle, loved spending time there.
  14. Skrabukes hits on the biggest reason why buying through UB is the better deal. You're only committed to purchasing tickets for the games as long as UB advances. Also, no fees. When you commit, you also don't need to commit to a Thursday game if you don't want. Because of limited vacation time, we likely won't head down until Friday morning.
  15. Not familiar with why R&R Pt 2 has been pulled.
  16. I can live with rap. I don't like it but I understand that the players are young and like it, as well as the students. Vulgarity should NEVER be played during the games.
  17. Love it in Cleveland. Short drive. Convenient hotels. Decent restaurants. Lots of breweries. Who could ask for anything more?
  18. Coach Edwards is a great guy. His wife and kids are some of the most kind people I've met. Good luck to them. This move will be taking both he and his wife quite a bit closer to home.
  19. BO just got 2 of his own at the end of the first half.
  20. He loved his time at the Senior Bowl. Said he learned a lot and it was a great experience.
  21. Coach Jack said she should be a first round pick. May be a bit optimistic.
  22. First let me say, GREAT JOB STUDENTS! You came out in full force on a night that wasn't fit for an eskimo. The public attendance was a bit better than I expected for said night. Dooley mentioned poor free throw shooting would cost us a game. It already cost us one against NIU. As far as Harris having a bad night... his shooting was definitely off. He had about a 2 minute stretch in the second half where he had 2 assists on alley-oops and a baseline drive - dunk that was quite impressive. Carruthers, all I can say is WOW, great game.
  23. UBigbobby. Please speak in words so those of us over 50 know what you're talking about.
  24. Ball State is here and ready to play. Game is on and will be played whether or not there ends up being a driving ban. I'm just glad that it's not Kent. They'd be stuck somewhere.
