  1. That was Bob MacKinnon’s final year as Griff’s coach. The schedule speaks for itself. The 15 - 10 record must include a few garbage games…and they lost 11, not 10.
  2. That was my senior year at Canisius. The Griffs were 15 - 10. 3. A few of Buffalo’s 3s have rimmed in/out. Keep up the defensive pressure.
  4. Some more of this please. But Foster is out of control.
  5. Will the Bulls have anyone left by the time the refs put their whistles away.
  6. I’ve seen enough of Foster to last me forever.
  7. Marshall just put up 100 against the Rockets. The MAC is wide open except for Kent. Maybe even Kent. Buffalo just has to play like they did against Colgate and GM.
  8. Woof. Time for Jim to get out of Dodge.
  9. McDonald? Interesting. I just looked up how he did vs UB when he coached the Griffs: 7-6, which looks better than it probably is considering the programs were headed in opposite directions then (McDonald followed Beilein). He can’t be any worse than Whitesell.
  10. Bulls used final timeout with 4.6 seconds. Hardnett got the rebound off the missed foul shot. There were no timesout remaining. His pass was poor, but thems the breaks. Our rebounders are prone to picking up fouls. Two of the starters can’t shoot. It will be a long season.
  11. The last time the Bulls got smacked worse than today was 92-45 against Pitt 15 seasons ago.
  12. Prediction: Molson will triple his assists by the end of the game.
  13. I'm guilty of criticizing the quality of the Bulls' OOC schedule the past couple of years. This year looks great - possibly the best ever! Go Bulls!
  14. https://13wham.com/news/top-stories/st-bonaventure-basketball-legend-bob-lanier-dies Condolences to the Lanier family and the St Bonaventure fans. He was the best.
  15. Well said. A great, coach, leader, and role model.
  16. Then we have the case of UB, which made it to last year’s conference championship, and brought back the core of its lineup this season. Early on the Bulls picked up encouraging wins against N Texas and Western Kentucky. Covid played havoc with the schedule, which caused the cancellation of one conference game and one non conference game against UC Irvine (ranked 128 by kenpom). The wheels started coming off the bus in the Canisius game. Covid hit the coach and one of the best players, Mballa. There were some blow out wins against a couple of D III teams, and a nine game winning streak against conference bottom feeders, eight of which have ranks hovering around the 300 mark. UB beat one top 100 ranked team. The Bulls split with Kent St, lost twice to Toledo and Akron each, plus lost to Ohio. Yeah…St Bonaventure had a more discouraging season. LOL!
  17. Last year somewhat could be considered a fluke because of the Covid shortened schedules. The Bonnies got hot at the right time. Early this season, they beat Boise St and Marquette - both of which are dancing. All their losses were to teams ranked in the top 100 by kenpom, except for George Mason (115). They had a total of six wins against top 100 ranked teams (seven, if you count St Louis, who they beat twice). Expectations for this year were based partly on last year’s skewed results. From that vantage point it was a disappointing season. Yesterday’s loss to a team it had already beaten twice was especially galling.
