  1. I agree, all I care about now is who the coach is going to be next year and who will be on the team.
  2. The only kids that I would bet on choosing a school based on the education are the players in the Ivy league. Then maybe a few other schools like Stanford.
  3. That sounds like a passive aggressive comment. Not sure who you are referring to specifically.
  4. I have no problem or ill will towards players who transfer or decommit as a result of a coach leaving. When you commit to a school a large part of why is the coach, their attitude/culture, their offensive and defensive systems, etc. Maybe Andre will end up recommitting after we name a new coach, who knows.
  5. Where did you hear that Hodgson demanded the job?
  6. That is shocking to me. I expected Oats to leave for a bigger school at some point, but I did not expect him to not address his players before he left. That is really disappointing to hear. Hopefully it means that most of the players won't follow him there and will use it as motivation that they can have success without him.
  7. Niagara is obviously grooming him to become a successful coach at UB in the future.
  8. Hodgson is a WNY native, so hopefully he wants to stay close to home.
  9. I really hope Hodgson stays, whether it is as the new head coach or a top assistant. He is vital to recruiting.
  10. A lot of negativity about him over at the Alabama forum.
  11. I’m hoping that these past few years have made the administration realize how beneficial having competitive sports teams is and they will start to put more money into the programs. With the new football facility and how much they were willing to pay oats, I think we are trending in the right direction. Hopefully some of the alumni with real money will be willing to make a large donation.
  12. I love what he did for our program. I’m very disappointed though.
  13. I don't think he transfers, he was the 9th man on a team that is graduating 5 Seniors. Next year he will probably up his MPG to around 15 mins and then will be in line for a starting spot when Jordan and Johnson leave a year from now.
  14. Arkansas will probably go after Oats and try for the 2 for 1.
  15. I hope Texas tech crushes every team they play to make me feel better.
  16. I disagree about Williams, I think he is raw but he has potential to be really good. Hawkins is no guarantee to be any good. Below are the 247sports recruiting ratings for some of our players. https://247sports.com/college/buffalo/Team/Buffalo-Bulls-Basketball-117/Roster/ I'm not sure why it isn't showing up but Jeenathan is a 4 star recruit on that site with a higher rating than anyone we have ever had. I am not saying that Hawkins will end up one way or the other, but to act like he will be a day 1 starter as a freshman might be setting unrealistic expectations. Jeenathan was rated higher than him on most recruiting sites and you don't think he is that good. Brock was rated higher than Perkins and CJ but clearly is not having as successful of a career. Anything can happen.
  17. Get him on that Perkins workout plan.
  18. This is kind of how I see the lineup too. The only thing I'm not sure about is that Hawkins actually starts if he comes here. All his recruiting info puts him on the level that Jeenathan and Segu were coming in. If that is the case I could see Rojas starting over him because I'm assuming he is more seasoned.
  19. Has anyone heard about how Johnson and Grant were performing in practice this year? I remember hearing really good things about Wes Clark when he was a practice-only player. But haven't heard much about these two.
  20. TT's length killed us, they are scary good on the defensive end. Thank you to all the seniors who have worked your tails off throughout your careers. I will be hoping some of you can make the NBA and will continue to cheer you on at the next level. You have mad Buffalo a nationally recognizable name and changed the culture of the program. You will forever be legends of Buffalo basketball.
  21. I definitely like being the underdog more, but if we want the program to keep moving forward then we will have to accept being the favorite.
  22. Don't forget about Wofford. The Pact stays strong!
