  1. Lockdown D, true PG and Lefty? That sounds really good to me!
  2. You could very well be right and I am rooting for them either way, because they are UB Bulls now. We drove JW into the ground and it's counterproductive. If GH3 fails, it's sad and not good for anyone, so I want him to do well. Hopefully this group has they types of players, with they type of character GH3 and the staff were looking for to run whatever offensive/defensive system they were hoping to do.
  3. Staff is going after what they can get with the hand they have. There is currently no compelling reason to come to UB for basketball. At least Buffalo is close to Canada for some of these guys so you take what you can get and hope their game translates to winning in the MAC.
  4. I believe that is a correct assessment. Same with the RB in the portal, he was likely #6 or lower
  5. I’m guessing football will get the bulk of the first moneys in the pot. GH3 was pushing for this day 1, it wasn’t until Lembo arrived that it gained any real traction
  6. Let’s hope for the best while he is with us. Portland OR or ME?
  7. It is what it is, could have been a good piece, but if we make improvements, we should be able to attract better talent.
  8. Let's all hope for some pleasant surprises.
  9. I think AJ and Sabol will take a step forward it shooting. I think we may have a better inside game than previously and if we have better PG play, that should help as well. I do think Batchelor will be an upgrade. As for the 3 you mentioned, I agree and don't think they will be a shooting threat, but should help on the boards both offensively and defensively. Would be nice to get back to having a few guys that get those garbage points around the rim again. I also think McVeigh can bring a spark if he has the confidence to play like he did towards the end with pure hustle. We will see.
  10. With the current bones of the roster, hopefully it can attract a guy ready for one last ride.
  11. Looks like he has a pretty nice release. Hopefully he will be productive for us in a number of ways.
  12. No longer MAC, per se, but saw this come thru. I had heard him linked to Wisconsin, but maybe this is a good fit for his final season.
  13. That would be ideal. I like the 20-22 minute range for 7-8 or 9 guys versus 38-40 minutes from guys that aren't ready to be "the man".
  14. I like your optimism and tend to agree with your assessment. A go-to scorer that is ready to go and will make those around him better. We will see if we can get a piece like that.
  15. Just mind boggling to me there are 1200+ still hanging out there, not to mention JUCOs and HS available. With Duke losing 7 guys already, it's complete chaos.
  16. That has to be scary for those 2/3 that have no place to sit in a week.
  17. Obviously nobody wanted him for whatever he was looking for. I'm sure it's not because he just loves Kent St. so much he couldn't leave.
  18. Looks like Chanteese Craig has committed to Detroit Mercy. In her photo she looks slimmed down. We never really saw much from her, but I wish her well at her new home.
  19. I heard Jay Wrights wife is looking to get him out of the house more
  20. Basically, where we are is due to that fact we hired a tunnel visioned AD that has no interest in anything other than Football and he royally screwed that up. Instead of finding someone similar to LL to keep the machine rolling, he bought in hook, line and sinker to a smooth talking snake oil salesman that never really accomplished much in the world of coaching. He chose not to make an inspiring hire for MBB and lost the Oats momentum. NIL probably played into the decision on the current coaching search, but I'm sure the more experience, veteran guys that were talked to saw thru ADMAs BS and decided it wasn't worth their time to fight that battle. He lucked up on BB and she is likely overperforming even though the 1st season weas rough at times. The handling of wrestling is deplorable and I have heard may 1st hand accounts of the ridiculousness they had to tolerate. The only good things he has done is NOT fire Coach Burke of Women's Soccer since he is doing great and Coach Shepherd for Women's Volleyball is top notch. Even the "Sports Performance Center" is nothing more that a front for more Football allotment. I'm sure other sports can technically use the facility, but probably from the houses of 2-4am. I was really hoping Missouri would take him, but I don't think that is happening.
  21. We need to find a league like that with auto bids for basketball. 50/50 chance of Dancing, year-in, year-out!
  22. I think Cage's family and daughter is down that way. May be it's a better location for him on a personal level.
