  1. Not easy to find a line because it is FBS v. FCS. The one line I was able to find was Fordham +42.5. IF Nebraska does not blow them out, it will be a long season for them and hopefully made longer the following week. Also Nebraska's 375 game sellout streak at home is in trouble.
  2. Will need a VPN into the United States. ESPN3 does not work outside of the US. I could not watch the Black Friday game when men's hoops were in the Cayman Islands and had to use a VPN for the MAC Championship games in Belfast to watch it.
  3. Hopefully CBS and ESPN do not ruin it, but there is a rare doubleheader on 1-8-22.
  4. Usually comes out with the game notes, which are released the week of the game. May be by the end of this week, since it is a Thursday game.
  5. Got the date of the MAC website. They still have last year's info up. It is up against the Boca Bowl and the Lending Tree Bowl, which both have MC tie ins.
  6. If they are looking for attendance, it could be an issue. This is the same day as the MAC Championship game in Detroit.
  7. Iona is a tough get for UB, if they want a home and home. They already come to Buffalo every year for Canisius and Niagara. They would not want to make a second trip for a non-conference game, unless they get a lot of money. We have no reason to pay them a lot of money. They fill up their non-conference schedule for van rides without needing hotel stays and/or flights. If UB wants to play one game in New Rochelle, I am fine with that.
  8. Of course Sam Pellom was unranked. Players were not ranked tehy way they are today back then.
  9. Alnutt is not going to Missouri. They hired Reed-Francois from UNLV.
  10. I have no problem with the mask mandate at games, as a fully vaccinated person and would have worn it any way. I still wear a mask in public. If you ask why, think about cars and seat belts and air bags. You use a seat belt even though you have airbags and you do not turn off air bags because you have a seat belt on. Better safe than sorry.
  11. From the other side of the state, this may not have aged well. https://www.kansascity.com/opinion/opn-columns-blogs/toriano-porter/article253193578.html
  12. Would hate to see her in the Bahamas in Orange and not Blue and White.
  13. Looks like he does not have what Missouri is looking to have in their next AD. https://www.stltoday.com/sports/college/mizzou/can-mizzou-land-a-sitting-power-5-ad/article_9882d7db-6b3e-5776-998e-911bd893bc77.html
  14. Wrestling will be in the New York City area on Friday January 14, 2022 and Saturday January 15, 2022. On Friday they are wrestling LIU. Schedule has it in Brooklyn, but more likely in Old Westbury, will update when I get a confirmation. Match is at 7:00. On Saturday they will be at Hofstra at 1:00. Hofstra's athletic department is led by former UB SA president Rick Cole. To quote the Stones he will be full of mixed emotions that day.
  15. ESPN allegedly working to move three schools to the AAC. My guess is Baylor, Texas Tech and Oklahoma State. Kansas probably not likely in the three because of small TV market and horrible football. Also saw some rumors that Kansas is looking to go to the ACC. That would be a better fit for them. The ACC is the last of the basketball conferences. Their football is Clemson and nobody else. https://www.cbssports.com/college-football/news/texas-oklahoma-formally-request-sec-membership-beginning-in-2025-after-announcing-big-12-departure/
  16. The delay is until 2025 after their grant of rights agreement expires.
  17. The Athletic reports that West Virginia would prefer to move to the ACC if the Big 12 falls apart. That would work well for them to take to UB as well to have balanced divisions for football. West Virginia and Pitt would be travel partners, as would UB and Syracuse.
  18. Here is a thought, assuming BC finally stops its grudge match with UConn. UB and UConn to the ACC. I know UConn just went back into the Big East, but it cannot survive as a FBS Independent. The ACC would like its basketball. It would renew its Big East rivalry with Syracuse and Pitt. It gives the ACC additional TV markets, most notably the biggest in New York City (although New York City could careless about college athletics in general). Having that market for UConn would allow an increase in coverage fees for the ACC Network in an area that probably has over 1,000,000 cable homes, $0.50 a month it would increase revenue by $6,000,00.00 per year. UB creates good travel partners for basketball teaming up with Pitt or Syracuse. UConn would team up with BC.
  19. Iowa State to the Big 10 is unlikely. They are not an AAU school. (Nebraska was tossed after being admitted to the Big 10.) Neither is Notre Dame. Also would Notre Dame be willing to give up its NBC money?
  20. I can confirm that the team is practicing. Saw them start practice today before the UB golf outing.
  21. With all this mindless prat;e about who is and who should or should not be on the team the big news of the week has not been mentioned. The first game next Saturday will be on ESPN2.
  22. Except Oats was told this by D. Hurley BEFORE the selection show. Once the field was announced it was easy to determine that it would be Arizona State or Sr. John's.
