  1. Looks like he does not have what Missouri is looking to have in their next AD. https://www.stltoday.com/sports/college/mizzou/can-mizzou-land-a-sitting-power-5-ad/article_9882d7db-6b3e-5776-998e-911bd893bc77.html
  2. Wrestling will be in the New York City area on Friday January 14, 2022 and Saturday January 15, 2022. On Friday they are wrestling LIU. Schedule has it in Brooklyn, but more likely in Old Westbury, will update when I get a confirmation. Match is at 7:00. On Saturday they will be at Hofstra at 1:00. Hofstra's athletic department is led by former UB SA president Rick Cole. To quote the Stones he will be full of mixed emotions that day.
  3. ESPN allegedly working to move three schools to the AAC. My guess is Baylor, Texas Tech and Oklahoma State. Kansas probably not likely in the three because of small TV market and horrible football. Also saw some rumors that Kansas is looking to go to the ACC. That would be a better fit for them. The ACC is the last of the basketball conferences. Their football is Clemson and nobody else. https://www.cbssports.com/college-football/news/texas-oklahoma-formally-request-sec-membership-beginning-in-2025-after-announcing-big-12-departure/
  4. The delay is until 2025 after their grant of rights agreement expires.
  5. The Athletic reports that West Virginia would prefer to move to the ACC if the Big 12 falls apart. That would work well for them to take to UB as well to have balanced divisions for football. West Virginia and Pitt would be travel partners, as would UB and Syracuse.
  6. Here is a thought, assuming BC finally stops its grudge match with UConn. UB and UConn to the ACC. I know UConn just went back into the Big East, but it cannot survive as a FBS Independent. The ACC would like its basketball. It would renew its Big East rivalry with Syracuse and Pitt. It gives the ACC additional TV markets, most notably the biggest in New York City (although New York City could careless about college athletics in general). Having that market for UConn would allow an increase in coverage fees for the ACC Network in an area that probably has over 1,000,000 cable homes, $0.50 a month it would increase revenue by $6,000,00.00 per year. UB creates good travel partners for basketball teaming up with Pitt or Syracuse. UConn would team up with BC.
  7. Iowa State to the Big 10 is unlikely. They are not an AAU school. (Nebraska was tossed after being admitted to the Big 10.) Neither is Notre Dame. Also would Notre Dame be willing to give up its NBC money?
  8. I can confirm that the team is practicing. Saw them start practice today before the UB golf outing.
  9. With all this mindless prat;e about who is and who should or should not be on the team the big news of the week has not been mentioned. The first game next Saturday will be on ESPN2.
  10. Except Oats was told this by D. Hurley BEFORE the selection show. Once the field was announced it was easy to determine that it would be Arizona State or Sr. John's.
  11. Probably done on purpose. Danny Hurley told Oats before the selection show that the NCAA was trying to set up a UB - Arizona State game, against his brother Bobby. He was right.
  12. Students will be required to be vaccinated to return in the fall. That applies to staff as well, but there is no way to know who is university staff at the gates. They could ask for the vaccine card everybody got or to show proof with the New York State app. I carry both and have not lost my freedom.
  13. Good thing they did this, because I am booked to fly in for the game and back out the next morning.
  14. If UB plays Middle Tennessee State it will be the second time that Turner Battle coaches against UB. Also both times will have been in foreign countries. The last was the UAB Championship Game (University At Buffalo vs. University Alabama Birmingham) in the Cayman Classic.
  15. I think the only other quality school is St. Louis.
  16. Unless his parents were diplomats Mballa is an American citizen. He was born in Detroit. However, that is an issue for Gaba and Christie, among others on the women's team.
  17. This was in an email sent about 7:00 AM. NIL: Student-Athletes... + Fresno State WBB's Cavinder twins have inked deals with Boost Mobile & others as they're set for signings in New York City. Jackson State FB student-athlete Owens does a deal with Three Kings Grooming. (link, link) + Miami (FL) FB student-athlete King signs a $20K deal to endorse College Hunks Hauling Junk. (link) + Illinois MBB student-athlete Padilla Jr. shows off the first dollar he's made in an agreement with supplement company Six Star. (link) + Kentucky MBB student-athlete Allen has gear live on The Players Trunk. 18. Good, now it appears that there is credence behind the post. Thanks.
  19. Name is not necessary. From where? Someone with connections to team, some internet troll in a basement in pajamas, off a Q posting? Anybody who reports something as a fact must say where the source is from. Believe me it can be very vague and the source''s true identity will remain anonymous. Otherwise it looks like you said something for the sake of saying something to move a discussion.
