Fall - Football, W Soccer and W Volleyball. Criticism for direction under Whitesell is fine and valid. Saying the entire athletic brand is on life support is comical and not correct.

Secondary will be key. Lost a ton of talent and that’s what gave up all those late leads.

We were 4th in the conference and, I believe, 64th nationally. So the top half of CFB with considerable RB injuries. We were good, not great. I would have been fine with Montgomery back but trust in Mo. The last 2 years definitely could have been worse.

Stone and Foster both seem to have settled in lately. Hopefully they just needed some adjustment to the Div 1 game and can keep it going.

Heard Powell should play. No idea on how much.

Several, like Muse, were injured and didn’t want to risk further injury. But yeah, imagine the NFL had free agency and coaching changes prior to the post-season. Pretty stupid.

There are plenty of bonuses for going to a bowl game or even eligibility. Basically the same thing.

You drastically overrate what one exhibition game means. It’s nice to win, but we were 4-8 last year with no bowl game and had the best class in the MAC when all was said and done. But uninformed takes are your thing.

Pass. I can understand a grad transfer, maybe, but otherwise GFY. If you’re in the portal you’re not part of my TEAM. ✌️

Loser mentality. We had a first time coach completely rebuild the roster and not only qualify but win a bowl game in his second season. Only the 2nd coach to win a bowl game in FBS program history. Far from perfect, but I’ve yet to see a MAC season/program be perfect. Great step forward.

Curious if anyone knows when sites like 247 reset based on signings? Also, do they account for JUCO? I know usually they don’t include transfers but wasn’t sure. We previously were rated last in the MAC but that was with only 6 commits accounted for.

6th bowl game in program history. Only 3rd coach to do so at UB. You do realize many recruits, especially freshmen, don’t play right away, right? His first real hs recruits will be sophomores (likely redshirt freshmen) next year. We were in position to win many games and 100% should have finished. But it’s stupid to pretend like we’re the bottom of the conference.

This stuff takes time. He’s literally had just over a year so far. He was handed a depleted roster in May in year 1. Goal is a consistent winner that competes for championships. Which we did. We can obviously be better. But if your expectations are we’ll steamroll the league you’re gonna be disappointed.

Correct. Also the NCAA announced the bowl game won’t count as a game towards the 4. So maybe a few snaps next week.

Disagree. Snyder is a very serviceable MAC QB. Sometimes good, sometimes bad. Not a superstar, but not the worst. And it could be a lot worse. Certainly could recruit over him as well.

Why is everything a reflection of the program? He was a 3rd stringer I believe. Maybe he was offered more playing time and it had nothing to do with the coach, the university, the city, the MAC, etc? I wish him well.

Must be something going on with literally every program in the country. On a team of >120 guys, there are gonna be plenty of egos, handlers, etc.

Alnutt has repeated mentioned the plan is to do just that after the Wellness Center is built on campus so intramurals/student workout area and such can move out of Alumni first.
