ACC goes 10 conference games + 1, the Domers getting ACC schedule. SEC close to a conference schedule. Weird stuff comimg from the Big12 as Iowa St added Ball State to their schedule just yesterday.

The NCAA has added the opportunity to play week 0, games beginning August 29th. And it will allow 2 FCS games to count toward bowl eligibility. Some rumblings from the Big12 is potentially a conference-only schedule beginning the 29th. But for now their non-conference games are on. Nothing yet from the MAC, NEC, or Army West Point. So if things go forward I could see us grabbing a game with someone like JMU, who wants to continue play. Or a new FBS team. If MAC goes conference only, I'm ok with that. Prove we are the best in the MAC gauntlet, not just East champ.

A needed pick up as it looks like we had a DT spot as Georell Kidd is not on the 2020 roster, though he was tweeting positively in June and he is still in school. Hopefully he is back in good standing next year.

A big bodied skill player who could develop in many ways: A Starks/Jordan Johnson style RB, or a WR, bulk up to OLB. I think we have a lot of skill in this class so he just adds more to competition. He and McGwin's recent verbal's are examples of just where we have established ourselves among NY and Northeast recruits with this staff. 10 years ago it was tough to recruit vs the UConn's and Army's. Now our facilities have improved, wins aplenty, and we are in a conference, unlike Army, UConn, UMass.

In case no one saw it, Bivens decided to back out of the portal to return as a walk-on. It's great to see zero transfer-outs from last season.

You called it right, the state just announced no fans at fall sporting events, if UB events happen at all. Now is our chance to make more deals with local channels to pick up those ESPN3 games, if our team performs as high as anticipated. With no Bison's games, shorter pro sports seasons, possibly no pre-season NFL games, limited bar occupancy, there has to be demand for live events to watch/make bets.

Yep, he prepped at Milford Academy last season. The same path as Shaun Dolac, who graduated from West Seneca East, 1 year at Milford, and also committed to UB for 2020.

There was a huge flap over a fake recruit profile last season so these sites have tried to do better. The number of 5 star grades have dropped a bit from a few years ago. And the number of 3 star graded players has increased. It is hard to believe in years past when UB had a majority of 2 star players, several of whom became All-MAC/NFL, that now nearly all in our 2021 class are 3 stars. But no doubt, based on total offers, 2021 may still be our most productive class ever.

Agreed, stars are for team recruiting rankings, offers mean a lot more. I think 247 changed their system to grade fewer to 5 stars and 2 stars, increasing the numbers of 4 and 3 star ranked players.

Definitely will be tough to replace what he has done for the department, and great to see us produce another leader. I hated to see Harvey Stenger leave for Binghamton year ago, but he has done well there. Hoping the same for Dr Reed at Prairie View!
