  1. Have this on in the background while doing work from home...glad we didn't see this Ball St team in either of our matchups. BSU commentators were just talking about the tournament and called Buffalo "the team no one wants to play," and "most talented team in the MAC by far" among other things.
  2. Speaking of whoopings, Miami was up by 40 at the half over CMU, at CMU.
  3. To be fair, home games essentially mean nothing this season. But that doesn't excuse the complete ineptitude against good teams and in close games. Or the huge dropoff last year at home when we actually did have crowds.
  4. Bowling Green falls at home to Western Mich for their 5th straight loss (since completing the sweep of us, of course). Imagine they'll still be dangerous come tourney time but definitely didn't see that coming.
  5. I'd be on board with calling him "Nickelback" from now on lol. It's just gotten ridiculous with the close losses at this point, we know it's gonna go wrong somehow at the end and the team seems to think the same. Gets harder every time to imagine us winning the MAC tourney with what would most likely be 3 tight games when we can't even win one in the regular season.
  6. Yeah, the difference is I actually trust FLJ to do what it takes to ensure this doesn't keep happening. Much more likely to be an unfortunate blip that the team actually learns from.
  7. I really, really wanted to be wrong, but sadly this team just can't close. No killer instinct whatsoever.
  8. Impressive start and much better effort, but as far as sustaining this and closing out strong in crunch time? I'll believe it when I see it. Prove me wrong, Bulls!
  9. At least "Newton" is still trying out there.
  10. All this with Pippen in foul trouble too, sitting on 2 points. Pitiful
  11. Looking too much like the first half of the BG game. Kent bench making a big difference so far, ours making negative contributions as usual...
  12. Realistically he gets at least one more year to get us back to the Dance. Unless he somehow scores some big recruits (who actually pan out) or the extra eligibility/transfer situations shake out in our favor, we're likely looking at a full-on rebuild in 2022.
  13. Mballa's foul trouble was a killer, he couldn't be as aggressive defensively or on the glass as we needed down the stretch. Then he fouls out anyway. Guess all those missed layups and FTs were bound to bite us in the end anyway. Shoulda coulda woulda.
  14. Yeah, matters a lot more now. Momentum seems to be on our side though, would be amazing to win this after that 1st half but somehow it's well within reach.
  15. Hard to blame officiating when we're playing this badly, but yeah they've been awful.
  16. Basically bricks all around so far, not just him. Comically bad shooting especially on home court
  17. Segu 2-2, rest of the team 0-11. 5 turnovers already. Yikes
  18. The Buffalo News just picked it up too. Just wow
  19. A former Lincoln Preparatory School basketball star has been arrested on three counts of second degree kidnapping, one count of battery of a dating partner and one count of aggravated assault upon a dating partner. Deputies with the Lincoln Parish Sheriff ’s Office arrested Chanse Emil Robinson, 19, shortly after 12:30 p.m. Saturday at the intersection of Highway 167 South and Harper Bottom Road in Ruston. According to an investigator working the case with LPSO, Robinson allegedly committed a battery of a juvenile ex-girlfriend at his residence before making her get in a car and driving to a location where another battery occurred. Robinson reportedly drove the ex-girlfriend back to his residence, placed another two juvenile females that were friends of the exgirlfriend in the car and drove off again. The investigator said after an amount of time, the females were able to grab the attention of adults and were found safe. As of Monday afternoon, the investigation was still ongoing and could not be commented on further by the LPSO. Robinson was being held in the Lincoln Parish Detention Center on a bond that had yet to be set. Robinson was a twotime All-State point guard and was one of the University of Buffalo’s first signees of the 2020 class. A former four-star recruit by ESPN, Robinson is no longer found on the Bulls’ roster for the 2020-21 season and his biography page has been removed from the university’s athletics website.
  20. Loving the discussion here. On the bright side, Segu made a big shot to send it to OT and at least showed signs of being the leader/closer we need. At this point we know Graves is never gonna be that guy so even if it wasn't enough in the end tonight, something to build on. Just hope we actually take the positives from this stretch without Whitesell on the bench and don't revert to the same old same old going forward.
  21. Graves gotta finish that, time to make up for it in OT
  22. Excellent first half effort. Bills should have it completely in the bag by the time UB-SU 2nd half starts, no reason not to tune in and watch the Bulls then.
  23. Jeenathan looking like our best 3 point shooter, really impressed with his improvement there. He'll be near impossible to defend if he can keep it up.
  24. Yeah I think they'd be happy just to be in big games at all. Sounds like a good match to me.
