The object is to get to a bigger conference. If the MAC is pissed because UB is lifting their entire profile then it only proves they are a jerkwater conference we need to leave.

So what? That’s their problem to deal with. Why should we constraint ourself to please them? Unless there’s some hard rule to me it’s foolish to not pay our coach bc it will “piss off other ADs.” Results speak and right now Oats is delivering results.

The TV packages are signed years in advance with the conferences. ESPN probably isn't able to move it elsewhere. ESPN has the ACC tournament and ESPN2 has the Big 12. ESPNU has the AAC tournament.

Yes the Bills finally ended the playoff drought last year but it was a miracle from the Bengals and they have a long way to go to become a quality team. It’s okay if you want to compare mediocrity to having success at 500. A winning playoff team would be great. Go Bulls!!!!

Anyone with nothing but extreme appreciation and respect for Reggie is just someone with zero knowledge of the state of the program before his arrival. People post, without Hurley, there is no Oats. Well, without Reggie, Hurley wouldn’t of even picked up the phone with the caller ID reading UB. Is he the greatest coach? No. But he came from the JUCO ranks and successfully put out a dumpster fire. And brought UB from the basement to the top quarter of the MAC, just never past the finish line.

Jonas Jerebko was always the one that got away in my mind. Especially at the time for that type of player to come here would have been crazy.

True. Danny White may be all "P6 AAC", but once he gets into a P5 (and it is only time...UCF is huge), White will be all "new conference, who dis?" when the G5 asks for his support.

I agree with you. But it won’t sit well with the rest of the league but more importantly, if we are paying P5 money to our staff/program, why not make the move to a better conference? This will push them more to move on from the MAC. Success leads to higher cost to keep it going. Might as well step our conference game up too.
