Am I the only one who doesn’t have any ill will towards Hurley? I know our marriage with him didn’t last long and ended horribly but his hiring got this whole thing rolling. And we trounced them in the tournament last year. To me that was the whole thing coming full circle.

Congrats to the entire team. Just a dominating game on both sides of the ball. The offensive line was tremendous again and Patterson with his great runs leaving players grasping at air. Another case of a player like Patterson not getting the hype from national media because of being a mid major. Hope this team can now build off this success. Go Bulls!!!!

Great win for the program. We finally got a bowl victory. Something to build on going forward. Run game was once again unstoppable. I thought the broadcast was excellent. Glad we got to showcase UB in the first game of bowl season. No other game was on, enjoyed the spotlight and exposure. Go Bulls!

Fantastic win for the Bulls. We totally dominated from start to finish. Couldnt ask for a better way to win our first bowl game. One of the final things to check off the list for the program. Quietly really enjoyed this season overall.

Interesting comment about the practice fields, our conference mates that have played in this bowl before have also commented that they don't seem ready for prime time down there, but I think that is just the Caribbean. I get that you are not going to care much about Charlotte, but thought I would drop this here for a bit of an quick story about the fan experience from our side. Agree with most of your points here. Jordan is definitely the leader and the best player on the team. Also, agree that people ripping on Johnson and Grant, but not talking about how bad Graves has been lately, which concerns me a hell of a lot more. Whitesell does deserve some blame for the lack if intensity and defensive play in bunch of these games, and not being able to make adjustments. Too much talent on this team to lose to Army and Dartmouth, period. I’m ok with the other losses. Yes, 9-4 would not be bad I agree there, but let’s not get ahead of ourselves, that St. bonnies game is far from a sure bet the way we been playing.

I have no ill will towards him from his time here, I'm not one of those who thought he was actually going to stay 25 years and build a dynasty. But I'm with rma - I thought he whined too much about everything. The kind of coach I enjoy seeing lose their minds on the other team (see: John Groce). I'm a more reserved coach myself (soccer), I've never seen the benefit to being a raving lunatic towards the refs and my own players. I do think he has to show more results at ASU if he wants to reach escape velocity to get out of their orbit and to a bigger college basketball planet. Losing by 40 to what is admittedly a usually good St Mary's program isn't going to help him. Moe Szyszlak: "I'm a well-wisher, in that I don't wish you any specific harm."

Thanks for auditing my posts and determining how many comments are allowed. He's not playing up to what we hoped? How about not playing anywhere near a level where he should be receiving a minute of D1 time. I'll stop commenting on it when he sits on the bench With Hardnett playing good and Brock/Fagan coming back, I'd expect Grant to be very limited going forward.

Keep seeing good things from this young man! Looking forward to see him play the next four years.

Weather prevented us from making our connection in Miami. No flights to the Bahamas available until Monday. American Airlines sent us home before the trip even started. We are very, very disappointed, but glad we are not stuck in an airport somewhere. 😞 Truth be told, this was shaping up to be an expensive trip. The hotels near the stadium are pricey and there are significant taxes and fees. We'll have to see if they will hit us with cancellation fees. This strikes me as a somewhat problematic venue for a bowl game, given the costs, logistics, and hit-or-miss weather. I'd imagine it's well off the radar for most students. No Ueber there and we understand the taxi drivers enjoy ripping off tourists. Will be interested to read experiences of others who were able to attend.
