  1. 100% agree. Talent in the locker room wasn't the problem, talent on the sideline and in the booth was suspect.

  2. This surprised me. I know he hit the portal for a minute last year. I really enjoyed his run towards the end of the season, felt like he was finally putting it together and I think he's the only one on the team this season who tried to draw a charge. Rooting for him, wherever he ends up

  3. Every FBS school ranked by how attractive they'd be in conference realignment - Footballscoop I thought this was a fun and debatable article. For your reading pleasure.

  4. Nice to see UB at the top of the MAC in their scoring, and interesting that the newest member of the MAC is 2nd. Take it for what it’s worth I guess, won’t really matter unless we start trending upward in football and MBB, and continue the upward trend that BB has WBB on. Need to get back in the discussion of top teams in the MAC in all 3 sports!

  6. So, if we were all out at a bar, we would be 50/50 in going home with someone attractive? 😂

  7. Looking back, it's clear that Adam Cohen and Ben McCollum were really good candidates. Calhoun... Who knows the real story with him... My UB sources now seem to indicate he wasn't really part of the discussion despite a few Twitter accounts throwing his name out last year. What I can say is that I'm of the belief Buffalo thought they had a really good chance to land Cohen when they originally let go of Jim Whitesell and that something happened that they either didn't anticipate or he changed course after gathering more information.

  9. We did pay him! He was given a contract extension and a pay raise that was not funded. We had to fundraise for his raise because it was more than the athletic department could afford. The Units aren't paid to UB. They are paid to the MAC and distributed to all of the schools in the MAC and used to fund the MAC Championships. Also, the number one complaint from Oats was the lack of facilities. His salary wouldn't have been enough to keep him without facility upgrades. And since facilities aren't consumed annually like salaries are, the facilities are a necessary long term investment. The facilities serve the coaches who will be coaching today as well as five and 10 years from now. That is what happened. That is how he got the raise and extension right before he left for Tuscaloosa. How much did you contribute to the fund? No, he didn't. He made it his home for a moment in time. But he wasn't staying long term. Buffalo isn't close to home. Yes, you're right. It is a real head scratcher... Why didn't UB make Oats the 3rd highest paid basketball coach in the country in 2019? They should have just picked some notes from the money tree. No, it isn't. Everyone talks the talk while they are in the position. And then when something better comes along they are gone. Ah... I get it. This is a troll. You're really a Bonnies fan. Valued him with everything but their pocket book. But of course, you expect others to fund the program for you to enjoy.

  10. So I met with a former player the other day, one of my best friends as well. He had played under Leopold and Linguist. He didn’t have many great things to say about linguist at all. He said the majority of the team didn’t like his coaching style and said he was very unorganized. My friend also told me that he had full control of the offense and didn’t let the OC do much if at all. He’s now ran out of eligibility but still gets to practice with the team during spring ball. He loves Lembo and the consensus around the team is that Lembo is a great coach who gets along well with his players. My friend thinks the team is in really good hands with him

  12. Confirmed that the UB offer is for 2024. Confirmed the other week that NKU had not offered; perhaps that has changed since then, but at the time of his tweet, an offer had not been extended, hence why NKU is not listed on his profile in our database.
