  1. He brought success to UB, for sure. He was an arrogant, A-Hole to those that were at UB before him, and to those that didn't have deep pockets. Oh, and also to his... wait, I'll let BRJACR tell that story.
  2. Paige, you defiinitely know me. That's Red on the back of the tandem.
  3. I guess I said it because you write about the 2 that I enjoy watching. The Bulls website gives a good enough game review for the sports that I don't pay as much attention to.
  4. Thanks for posting, Paige. I really enjoy reading your write ups that keep us filled in on UB Womens' Sports.
  5. I think Snyder made a pretty good bit of progress from week 1 to week 2. Hopefully that continues as the team begins to gel.
  6. He was having some pretty good success in his first spot.
  7. In reading more about Kevin White's rant, I found this comment very interesting. "I wouldn't put much stock in Kevin White's opinions. He's a knee-jerk kind of guy, and a poor judge of talent. At least as far as football coaches is concerned. If he thinks Greene a "rockstar" leader, weil, here's what he had to say about extending Charlie Weis's contract after only seven games, right after the "Bush Push" game in 2005: "In a very short period of time, Charlie has clearly and impressively demonstrated the ability to take the Notre Dame program where we all want it to go," Knee-jerk indeed. Didn't quite work out that way. White left ND in 2008, Jack Swarbrick gave Weis one more year and fired him, leaving ND on the hook for $19 million over the next five years, making Weis the coach paid more not to coach than anyone in football. Kevin White is also known to me as the AD who extended Bob Davie's contract before firing him, hired George O'Leary until he was fired a week later after a background check found that he had lied on his resume, hired and fired Ty Willingham in such a way as to leave ND open to accusations of racism for not giving him the five years that Faust and Davie got. (Although some of that is probably on Monk Malloy.) But he was a man of integrity, and he did do a good job with Olympic and especially women's sports. Nevertheless, his comments about an AD aren't to be taken any more seriously than any fan's IMO."
  8. Anybody get the feeling that Kevin had a previous axe to grind with Auburn and is using the Greene dismissal as his soap box?
  9. BullRun has been doing a "get to know the players" series. It started with 99 days til game day and had a piece on the player wearing 99. On days when no player has that #, he's profiling one of our opponants. Also, there was a FanPost regarding TBT that had links to articles about it.
  10. The Football Flash sale is tomorrow Tuesday 8/9. Tickets will be $15.00. (Half Price!) The sale runs 10:00am – Midnight. The ticket office at UB will be open 10a.m. to 5 p.m. tomorrow for in person sales.
  11. That interview was a bit painful. Her buildup to the first question took way too long. There were 7 of us watching together. After about the first minute of her intro, 3 of us at the same time said, "just ask the question". You could see that Nate was about to speak, and she just kept on talking.
  12. And dang, he missed quite a few of them.
  13. "And with inflation TBT has to up the prize to 1.5 mil at least next year. They are starting to sound like Dr. Evil…" During the quarter final game, I thought the announcer said that a few years back the winners share was $2mil. Did anyone else hear that? My buddy had a watch party on the back patio of his house Perfect night to be outside enjoying the game here in NT.
  14. Then, Bartovik should have our Women rated somewhere around the sump hole with3 returners. I think we're all relatively confident that's not where they'll end up. I wouldn't even call it an educated guess at this point. More like throwing it up and seeing where they land.
  15. Did he announce his verbal last night?
  16. Rather surprised that it doesn't have a name on it. All of the football rings do.
  17. It was the highlight of an awesome morning at Alumni Arena. I needed tissues. Was beautiful to see.
  18. I can't be too hard on her. We don't know if she had the option of staying. Just like some of the football players that transferred, it may have been suggested to her that she'd be better off somewhere else.
  19. "As soon as FLJs Jersey was in the rafters it was a done deal" I'd put money on it having been a done deal well before that. I know, it's tampering, it's illegal, it's blah, blah, blah... The only way FLJ was possibly staying at UB, and McNabb was ever going to wear a UB uniform, was if the interim Coach at Cuse somehow had a huge year this past season. Even that may not have stopped what was inevitable.
  20. Loren Christie is still here. She was at the Spring game yesterday.
  21. https://twitter.com/i/status/1519460270246178816 Looks like they're doing the teams a bit differently this year.
  22. Don't get me wrong. I think it's great that he's coming back.
  23. That could be interesting. My guess is he gets welcomed with open arms. I guess when he graduated at UB, he had the "U" emblem on his mortar board.
