  1. Update; http://novahoops.com/3b-regional-tourney-freemans-39-sparks-manassas-park-by-mason-72-62/
  2. I think if the lousy Bulls show up, we still win 85-75. Dont start none wont be none. We don't bring ready made excuses, just attitude! lol
  3. You're being too kind but I like looking on the bright side. Next year is going to be a good year.
  4. Turn it on and off like a faucet, like for just one game. Well we sure as heck know you're not coach but I wouldn't mind if you coached the opposition.
  5. I'm talking to a rock. ok So now UB has been doing it all wrong. They need to be a little bit of everybody else - don't think so. But you saw 1 game and you now have all the answers on how to beat Vanderbilt. sure dude
  6. Be a little this, be a little that and call it innovating. I couldn't disagree with you more. Good teams are confident in who they are and their approach to winning doesn't change with the wind. You don't attack an opponent from weakness (we don't play zone d) and say its because that's their weakness. You stay in character and keep getting better at what you do! That's what the good programs do - they make their opposition defend their strengths. Over the past 6 years this approach seems to be working pretty well.
  7. I never want us to be like Syracuse, ugh. Zone defenses by their nature tend to be finesse and seem to coax players into a softer passive style. As noted by dooleybull06 you lose the rebounding edge - bc you're playing an area and less able to box your man out. Good man defenses are aggressive and I think tend to juice a players competitive instincts. It can turn everything up a notch. A really good man D sometimes gets described as relentless, you'll never hear that said about a zone.
  8. What is all this zone talk? I've never seen us play anything but man D. Now some here are suggesting we become something we're not. Syracuse's Boeheim can have his zone, I love our man to man. Cultivate your better self and don't try and be a chameleon. There's not enough time in the day - guaranteed way to lose!
  9. Wut? To each his own but ... Some people just bleed negativity like it's part of their dna. The facts are; we have an exceptional recruitment group supplementing a very good returning group. And for most of us, yes, The Bulls are the flagship of the MAC and have earned it. To those in the Mac who think otherwise - prove it.
  10. Sounds like the start of a Home Advisor commercial.
  11. Just having a little fun - sometimes commas and periods can be your friend. And I appreciate your research.
  12. I don't get it. Are you implying there's a time in the future where you will stop being annoying? lol
  13. Agreed. Wouldn't it be cool if the league enjoyed more prestige around the country and the Mac Tournament wasn't the end all. Just sayin .. wouldn't be so bad to have some league pride too.
  14. Funny, I was looking at his profile last night as I went through the 4*s available in the portal. He definitely stood out. The Mac could get exciting. Wouldn't it be cool if this league became a popular topic of conversation with 2 teams in the top 20. I know we're going to be there. I like our team as constituted. We effectively replaced our big three and have 2, 4* recruits from last year looking for playing time. I haven't given up on guys like Travon Fagan making a strong impact this season either - ah the homer in me.
  15. Don't we want The Mac to be a respected league? The better it gets, the better we get hopefully.
  16. The only restriction I see potentially would involve academic qualifications.
  17. Rebounding is a learned skill set and this kid learned well. In fact in this case I would say 6'5 = 6'8 I wonder if this J grayer has any eligibility left? wow https://youtu.be/PLLTDU0kwsU
  18. His UNCG highlight reel has some Nick Perkins to it.
  19. Entirely different as 961819 described. Also I'll take Nickelberry and Skogman over the entire recruiting class of Oats and Hodgson all day.
  20. Well you know #44 was a great number in Syracuse football lore, maybe #33 can be that in UB bb. The brand is building.
  21. In the case of JW, I'm guessing he overreacted to his experience at Clemson where he was mishandled by an incompetent coach. Perhaps our coaches didn't communicate well enough, it appears to me, he was leery of not seeing enough playing time here. Now he can be the big fish in a small pond, to each his own. As far DC, he found his right fit. He didn't have much of an impact at Juco level.
