I think this is the year for the moves with Covid, etc. they will likely grant an exemption to almost anyone with immediate eligibility.

That announcer in Championship game was on crack. Preston had a ridiculous first half against us, no doubt, but when that guy kept saying NBA talent, I felt that was a bit of an overreaction

Preston is having a tough day so far, 3 points on 1/8 shooting, but has 6 rebounds and 6 assists. It’s nice to see Vander Flop having a tough day too, 2-10. Not sure how many phantom charges he too today.

Only the beginning...especially with all of the stinkers the “big schools” have put up in the tournament. I can see them targeting top players from mid-majors.

Maybe he should really go this time so his teammates can get someone there that wants to play with them.

Coaches will tell him he will be a key contributor day one. The question is does he believe them and does he feel he can outplay those in front of him. Most kids do, but then get buried on the bench. No matter your rating, the proof comes when you get there and see how things play out on the court and the all important chemistry.

My hope for him is that he can keep getting these 4 and 5 star guys to buy in an play for him a couple years and not become the NBA developmental league factory like Kentucky and Duke have become. Not that a 4-start recruit is going to be "under-recruited", but if he can find those guys with a chip and the talent, he can make them better as a collective than they are as individuals. That's his strength and I hope he never loses that. I'm not sure NBA players are what he would thrive with, but I also didn't expect him to take Alabama to these heights in 2 years, so what do I know.

Plus in the SEC now that he has a footing, he can setup Alabama like Florida was with Donovan and just dominate. A lot of the schools don't care much about basketball, so he could dominate for a while and then move on.

It's bad enough they are playing like this, but I Want to rip the throats out of the announcers already. Preston is a good mid-major player. No chance he's NBA talent.

If we happened to win tonight and say we win our first round game, do teams come calling on Whitesell? With Nate's success in in Alabama and people wanting to copy other's success. I could see a slighting upper level (A-10, Conference USA) calling and doubling his money. Maybe Quarles becomes the 4th coach in a row to keep the winning going.

With the way his second half went, I could see Nickleberry consider a return. Could be a strong 6th man with some continued improvement.
