  1. From one of the latest mock drafts I saw 2 RB taken in the first round, but both late. If that’s the case JP may be a late 2nd or 3rd round pick. We will see how it plays out. Hopefully he ends up in a place that has a good OL and can flourish. I also hope he has been working on his pass catching as that is a requirement at the next level to go with the running and blocking.
  2. Didn't realize the Niagara Falls angle, but that helps. I saw Kansas, so must be prep school like a lot of these guys. Home cooking can really help the process!
  3. Hopefully we can keep up the solid play, but the suffocating defense and transition offense we play is exciting and what a lot of kids would like to be part of. Not sure who our major recruiter is at this point, but I'm excited hearing this news. Let's keep it up for the rest of the season and into the tournament. Go Bulls!!
  4. Agreed, but that is some solid company to be part of that 5. Fingers crossed that he sees something in Buffalo that sets us apart and keeps things moving forward with the program.
  5. Watch out for these guys in the future, this is where our group excels. See Jovany Ruiz. Good luck guys and welcome to the Bulls!
  6. I’ll take either one, Great teacher, great recruiter or a combination of both. Imagine a great teacher starting with 3 star recruits instead of no star recruits. Could be a special run if LL and Co. Stick around a few more seasons.
  7. I agree, at times the play calling is suspect, but he is in the running for assistant coaching honors, so I'm with you, get the win, have better players and let's keep staying at the top of the conference. Also, to get a WR from Florida to come to Buffalo, that still continues to amaze me, but I hope the young man becomes a star!
  8. I am so impressed with our recruiting class, stunning that more than half of our top 15 ever are in this class. Lance and his group also seem to be able to give these guys time to develop if necessary or if they are ready (see JP26) they get their chance. That should be comforting for these young guys and really gives us solid depth. I can’t wait for the fall!
  9. I am ready for the showdown with Ohio and hope they bring their A game. I know most people are ready to run Whitesell out of town and hope and pray for the next Oats, but I'm still with these guys in this crazy season with all the crap they have to deal with to continue to gel as a unit and get to the Dance!
  10. I'm hoping our recruiter has stayed in touch and he can see himself solidify our receiving corp. We will see!
  11. Hopefully Nate can keep getting the good talent, but not turning his team into an NBA Developmental Team (ala Duke and Kentucky). It's nice seeing those programs failing this year and hope we can get back to some real semblance of college basketball with kids staying at least 3 years. I guess time will tell, but he has built a solid team and gotten 4 and 5 star recruits to buy into his philosophy.
  12. We are favored by 13.5, so I'm hopeful we keep it rolling and bring our A game from the outset and buildup a nice lead early.
  13. Hurley lost to Arizona again, that' s not going to sit well with the boosters. He may be in trouble unless they give a Covid-pass for this season.
  14. 257Sports still has us shown as a Commit, but not sure where we actually stand on this one. I guess we will find out on 1/29/21!
  15. For what it’s worth, when you look at the projections on ESPN for Buffalo on every game for the rest of the season, we are favored in every one except 2, which is Toledo on the road and Ohio on the road. Every other game we are 55% or higher and in several cases 75% or better. Obviously prognosticators think pretty highly of our Team. I still feel we can win every game ahead of us and we are starting to play team basketball. We need some more confidence at the end of games and make good decision, but I like our chances. Go Bulls!!
  16. Blame the coach if you like, ultimately the bucks stops with him, so I get it. The players obviously have the talent and can play outstanding basketball. For whatever reason they are struggling to put it all together. They need to stop coming out ice cold and putting in furious comebacks and learn to finish. If those two things happen, it could end up as a special year. We will see if they can turn that corner or not in the coming weeks. I was very angry at halftime like everyone else, but the coach can't make these guys hit simple layups, which they have been missing the last several games. I would really like to see a smooth 40 minutes just to see how good they could be.
  17. Terrific news! Now, which Bull is going to step up to be the "2" punch along with Marks? Next Bull up!
  18. Would be a solid pickup and like a recruit with 4 years left. I like the fact he wants to catch the ball too. If we can start incorporating the RB passing game into what we do, ala Alvin Kamara, that could be devastating in our league. We have a couple Christ the King kids on the roster, so maybe they can talk up UB. I see Western KY on his list too. Have a been asleep at the wheel on that team or are we just getting to be on par with that group for recruits? 2 Western KY references in one day struck me as odd.
  19. Awesome comment. Maybe it's a degree program he is going for? Looks like their highest draft pick was a 2nd rounder in 2017, Forrest Lamp with the Chargers. Last pick was 2018, 4th rounder Joel Iyiegbuniwe with the Bears. The most well know (to me anyway) NFL player was Tyler Higbee - TE for the Rams (4th round pick). Also, Jack Doyle of the Colts went there but was undrafted. Maybe it's a TE haven or something. Good luck, he served us well. I think he could have been a big part of our offense next year with Patterson and Marks' departure, but hopefully he gets some numbers and get a look at the next level. Osborn and Mabry at least got on rosters after their departures. Osborn had some special teams opportunities, Mabry is practice squad.
  20. It wasn't terrible, they just had times when it looked like they would open up a lead, but then they would do some dumb things, turnovers, bad shots, lots of 1 on 4 types of drives. It was definitely some rust, but Ball St. wasn't running away with anything. I don't think they were ever down by more than 3. 2nd half was significantly better, lots of the 3's hit and the good thing was they were open 3's, not the contested shots, they were finding the open man. For a 2 week layout, they were much better than I expected. Mballa is a beast. Hopefully the lure of the transfer portal doesn't screw us, but he is fun to watch.
  21. I hope he has success either with the Eagles or somewhere else. He is a good athlete and did well for us. I'm rooting for the young man. With some of the things he went thru, he could have gone down a bad road, but to see this development, it shows he looked for a niche and and kept himself in shape and developed some new skills.
  22. He was coach of the year, got them to #15, but lost the final 3. Marshall must think they are an SEC team that just missed out on the football playoffs. Either that or they didn’t like him being such a jackass in the sideline and being halfway out in the field every other play
  23. A Christmas Story kicked our ass!!
  24. #8, that's pretty good! I wish it had been more like our regular season games with the high powered offense, but I'll take the win!
