  1. Basketball was never dropped. Then how do you explain the support for the Bills, for 20 years of missing the playoffs? Not winning a title for 57 years? The Sabres for being 0-History?
  2. He does have another year. Working on a masters. I forgot what it is in, but it is something impressive.
  3. Especially since combined they hit 0 three point shots the entire season, combined.
  4. Based on post game I do not believe that Coach Mo rubbed him the wrong way. The two met, along with a number of other players, after the bowl game. It was clearly personal and I will leave it at that. Also unless both 2017 and 2018 do not count as years played, he is out of eligibility. He has already played in six seasons.
  5. Got down to Montgomery on Sunday. It was a very quiet town. Most likely because of Christmas lasting two days. Outside of families there were very few UB fans in town because many were coming on a second plane with the band and cheerleaders. Met up with a couple of other 1958 Society members, two made it on the first plane and two drove in from the Carolinas. Had a great time with them over dinner. I can confirm the Hines quote, as I asked him the same thing. The cold weather had impacts across the south. My reservation for Tuesday night after the game at a hotel at the airport in Atlanta was cancelled, as the area where all of the airport hotels was shut down because of water main breaks. 6. UB would want Syracuse recruiting players from Western New York, why? It would be a Notre dame home game, as part of their Shamrock Series, like when they played BC in Fenway Park. So you wanted used broken seats to be put into UB Stadium. The lights were updated nearly 10 years ago for TV standards.
  7. Last year she played in Turkey. I believe this year she is in Egypt.
  8. May be not increase his stock, but fatten his wallet through better NIL opportunities.
  9. The only schools that will be safe from entering the trasfer portal or sitting out bowl games are the schools in the playoffs.
  10. That depends on the contract. However, I do not believe that here is a contract that gives a bonus to a coach for losing a bowl game.
  11. Calhoun told Reggie that he was never coming back to UB.
  12. Prior coaches wanted a home and home with New York City schools. Most do not want to travel far for budgetary reasons. Why fly or bus it to Buffalo and stay in a hotel when you can take the subway or a couple of vans and driver 45 minutes to an hour away?
  13. With Albany and Binghamton in the same conference, it is unlikely they would ever agree to this. They do not want to play each other possibly four times in a season, or give up a home conference game.
  14. It is announced after the signing day in February. Also to the poster above Coach Linguist is the fourth coach, not the third to take UB to a bowl game: Gill: International Quinn: Famous Idaho Potato Bowl Leipold: Dollar General (now Lending Tree), Bahamas, Camellia Bowls Linguist: Camellia Bowl
  15. Besides coaching an All-American safety?
  16. What is interesting is where the recruits are from. There are a good number from the south that they have convinced to come to Buffalo, apparently for the same weather. For example, it will be in the 20s in Georgia this weekend. Also some from the plains states, including one from Kansas.
  17. Not likely for a while: https://footballscoop.com/news/new-deal-for-kansas-oc-andy-kotelnicki-may-be-longest-on-record-for-an-assistant
  18. UB streams their games on radio. They are on the Varsity app. It is not up to UB when they are not the home team if the game will be streamed through an outlet like ESPN3 or ESPN+. It is the option of whomever owns the rights. IN htis case it was probably whomever created the the Hoopsgiving event. Not sure if the NFL actually thinks that blackouts are bad for their bottom line. Ending the blackouts was probably bad for those teams that did not sellout their games. They lost the revenue from business that would buy up the last few thousand seats so that the blackout was lifted and they got good publicity for donating the tickets to charities (think Buffalo Bills a few years ago).
  19. Georgia Southern may not have a running back coach as he defects to the Bulls, USF, that is From footabllscoop.com:
  20. If you will be driving during the game and have Sirius/XM radio the game with Paul Peck & Co. will be channel 380.
