I believe since Ohio beat Akron once they would end up with the tiebreaker (best record vs top teams). Not 100% sure on that though.

At this point I don’t think the seed matters. Akron is currently the 4 seed. Would we want to be 5? Do we feel like we match up any better with them than the other 3 at the top? While we handily beat Ball on the road, not sure I’d feel any better about matching up with them than Akron, Kent or Toledo. So I don’t see it as must win other than this team needs confidence and to get on a roll to have a chance to advance.

NIU is oddly 4-6 at home this year if I’m reading it right. Although we’re worse on the road, so who knows.

I heard the expectation is that Hardnett comes back. He’s still got a covid year but I’d guess it depends if he can make some money overseas. Guessing Chatman hasn’t been cleared as a 2 time transfer. Should be good for next year.

Plenty will be available in the transfer portal that should come with experience.

Tell me you don’t follow sports without telling me you don’t follow sports. This happens all the time with new coaches. We’ve been an ultra successful program very recently and the recruits buy into her vision and want to be a foundation of things to come. BB’s track record is pretty good building programs.

Fun game to be at. Late arriving but solid crowd. Emoni has such a quick step back it’s nearly impossible to cover. Overall I loved the contributions. To me, Zid still seemed lost a lot. He blew multiple layups and still tried to push too much rather than drain clock when it was under 4 minutes left, leading to several turnovers and easy buckets for EMU. Glad to see him hit a few shots, though. Bring on Kent!
