Whetzel said on the game broadcast College of Charleston was supposed to come to Alumni Arena tonight but bailed at the last minute. That’s why we have 2 non D1 games. Would have been a great matchup.

For schedule ranking purposes D3 games don’t hurt us. Beating low level D1 teams does.

I don’t believe so. To my knowledge you don’t get access to the facilities, can’t work out, etc. You’re a regular student again. Can’t have it both ways.

Coastal hiring the OC from NC State. North Texas, Mo’s home state, could be intrigued as they just made a move. They’re about to jump to the AAC. But, they need to hire an AD first.

I wouldn’t read too much into one game. Lots of guys have been sick lately/dings and bruises/etc. Who knew Jack had a concussion? It’s also based on matchups.

I’m sure the fact that the WR stopped running on the play had nothing to do with it. Even the tv talent said it. At times I wanted them to make a change but he pulled it out when they needed.

Heard from one of the managers (in October) that it partly depends on what he’s eligible for. Not sure if that was cleared up or not, but the thought was if he’s only eligible for 1 year, he’d redshirt this year and come back for a full year next year. If eligible for 2 they’d try to get him up to speed this year to play. Keep in mind that even if he’s close to healthy right now, he hasn’t played in a year and obviously hasn’t practiced with the team. Wouldn’t be truly up to speed or in shape until late this year anyways.

So long as players can’t transfer carte blanche (multiple times with no sit outs) this will eventually even out. Mid majors will poach lower level schools and players will transfer down from P5. But when coaches leave and leverage their team to come with them to get a better job, this is the result.

I’ll take a W any day. 2 things that drive me nuts are the free throws and low IQ plays we seem to be making at times. The rest I can deal with. Perfect example, think we were up 6-7 at the end and Adams jacked a 3 super early in the shot clock. He made it, thankfully, but that is the reason teams have been able to come back on us. That said, constructive criticism is much better with the W in the win column. Let’s get after the Griffs.
