KVT is one of the oddest transfer stories I’ve seen. Showed little skill set here with multiple coaches other than being a smart QB who controls the game and is relatively accurate with the short-mid passing game. Suddenly he’s throwing the ball all over the yard down there.

Looks like Chatman will likely redshirt once healthy, unless he’s given 2 years by the NCAA.

This team is fun to watch and beat a quality opponent. The crowd tonight was energetic and into the game. My son and I had a great time. Whitesell lost 4 of the best seniors to ever play here and an entire recruiting class going into his first year. Williams and Segu were good on paper but hadn’t played much at all at that point. The roster was not what you think it was. Graves was good, not great and Cocoa couldn’t shoot and was a huge liability to be in close games down the stretch. No way did it compare at all to 18-19. He’s not the best coach in this league, I don’t think anyone is arguing that. He’s not compensated like he is either. He’s also far from the worst.

Someone mentioned in the game thread Chatman is still recovering from injury and may redshirt. Hardnett didn’t dress 🤷‍♂️

Sounds like you’ve got all the answers. Easy peazy. Part of the problem stems from the second a coach/admin/player has any success they’re gone. Tough to have any continuity and develop relationships in the community when people are constantly leaving. Happens everywhere in the G5 and our problems are not unique.

To his credit he turned our offense into a dominant one and to have one of the best offenses in the country at Kansas of all places. Must be doing something right.

Kotelnicki is getting a lot of run as big time OC or lower level HC. Borland is close to retirement, so keeping the band together might not be easy either way.

Another hot take. Complaining about defense in the MAC should get you far there guy. We have a brand new D coordinator. But sure, fire him 2 games into conference play after 2 wins. We had the best defense in the MAC for a few years under Lance and guess what? They were meh. We pulled out a gutty win, stop being a negative Nancy. We’ve got warts, we always do, but I’ll take 2-0 in conference play.
