BrooklynBull
We all would love to see Cierra Dillard be named the Player of the Year. However, the three women listed are having phenomenal years and they should all be named Co-Players of the Year. Take a look at the numbers from all three and figure out who you would vote for. Vote with your head and not your heart as the real voters will hava to after Saturday's games. Edited March 7, 2019 by BrooklynBull

MillenniumBull
My vote for CD is because what those numbers do not show is the weight lifting she did when Summer Hemphill was unavailable. But damn the MAC has become a very talented conference for women’s ball.
skrabukes
3 darn good players. Based on these blind resumes, it's hard to pick B over A, although could it be possible that A and C's votes may cancel each other out and B sneaks in? Based on just those stats provided, and nothing else, A looks really strong. It's nice to be in these types of discussions. There's been many-a-year where we haven't even had an opportunity to sniff these thoughts.
121Merrimac
My avatar has a soft spot for A’s tattoo.
rma
I can't find Kourtney Brown's final season stats from when she won POTY, so I'll compare A to the GOAT himself Javon McCrea's senior season. Yeah yeah I know you can't compare MBB vs WBB but I cannot remember a UB WBB player that had such a great rebounding average. 55.4% FG vs 56.1% FG GOAT 44.0% 3PT vs 50.0% 3PT GOAT 🤫 73.2% FT vs 66.7% FT Player A 21.4 ppg vs 18.5 ppg Player A 13.5 rebounds per game vs 9.9 rebounds per game Player A 2.3 assists per game vs 2.2 assists per game Player A 1.8 steals per game vs 1.5 steals per game Player A As I finish comparing these two I remember Summer Hemphill has been grabbing a ton of rebounds too. For comparison vs A. 55.4% FG vs 60.0% FG Summer 44.0% 3PT vs 50.0% 3PT Summer 🤫 73.2% FT vs 70.3% FT Player A 21.4 ppg vs 14.3 ppg Player A 13.5 rebounds per game vs 10.4 rebounds per game Player A 2.3 assists per game vs 1.3 assists per game Player A 1.8 steals per game vs 1.6 steals per game Player A With all three of the nameless players graduating (thank god, thank god, sad face), I wonder if next year Summer will be in contention for MAC POTY. Without CD I can imagine she'll get a decent amount of additional points next year.

We will never know that if Summer had played from the start of the year that maybe some of the above stats would be in Summer’s favor. In most cases the POTY comes from the team that is the most successful and is the top team in a conference. Ciera certainly should be in the running and has all the stats befitting for the POTY. It is just another one of these exciting years that has brought joy and everlasting memories to the UB faithful. Go Bulls!!!!

rma
Hudson doesn’t get a single vote, extremely odd. I don’t necessarily think CD got snubbed, any other year she would have won it. This is not to say that CD isn’t an exceptional basketball player. The MAC isn’t a weak basketball conference anymore. There are going to be exceptional players that don’t get top honors. Like Stephanie Reid, All MAC Second Team.
BrooklynBull
Here is the vote: MAC Player of the Year (First Place Votes – Total Point): Reyna Frost, Central Michigan (35 - 124) Cierra Dillard, Buffalo (7 - 75) Lauren Dickerson, Miami (1 - 8 ) Cierra (Cece) Hooks, Ohio (1 - 7) It really is a shock that that Hudson did not get a vote and still made first team.
