Yes it was!! Our family and friends talk about it often. All those years with both teams in the national spotlight and being there the whole season and then in Cleveland with our whole family and friends will be memories of our lifetime. No matter how far the teams have regressed that can never be taken away!! Go Bulls!!

I don’t know much, but i do know the Hurley/Oats era was an amazing time. It took a few years for the AD to tear it all down and make MBB one of the worst of 360 programs. So that took some doing. Hopefully other MAC teams are weak and they can get immediate help from the portal after this season.

Tonight is MAC opener for UB / Halcovage. Rankings on Kenpom and Bartorvik have CMU ranked slightly better, with CMU favored between 4 and 7 points. However, current spread is only 1.5 points per ESPN. CMU looks to be without one of their better offensive players 6'10" Markus Harding which may explain the small overall spread. Both teams have struggled offensively, and turn the ball over often.

I certainly get the sentiment. Per rankings CMU is the second worst MAC team - and UB only gets one shot at them this season - hopefully they get the 'w'.

I'm not sure we get to call this a "must win" days after losing our last "must win." But it really feels like we need to take one of the directional Michigan games this week just for morale purposes.

I don't have any info as to how the coach search went behind the scenes, but if Alnutt's coaching target list didn't appropriately factor in the money requirements, that's just as much a failure as him not having a list at all. You or I could put together a list of pipe dream basketball coaching candidates as much as anyone could - it's his job and his staff's job to understand realistically how much money UB needs in its athletics coffers to pay that person's (and their assistants', etc) salary. If Alnutt and staff completely misjudged the cost of a basketball coaching staff in 2023, that's just as much an indictment as anything else with the search, in my opinion.
