I see Josh Primo is testing the NBA, but at least he is retaining his eligibility. Hopefully Nate can avoid turning into the NBA minor leagues. It was actually refreshing to see Duke and Kentucky down this year. Hard to hit on new talent every year and not be able to build towards something bigger a couple years down the road. Good luck to the young man and hopefully those he talks to are honest with him, not just telling him what they think he wants to hear. If your not a 1st round NBA pick, it’s tough to stick in the league. even with that there are plenty of former first rounders sitting at home.

Kevin - any word on Jones beyond the Zoom? I think we should be a solid option for him, time will tell.

This was really solid pickup, so obviously these guys are recruiting effectively. I'm confident we will see a very good guard come our way. Jones would be great, but I think we will be happy with the pickup.

A quality 6'5 true PG in the MAC could become a matchup nightmare, especially if can play defense.

And he would benefit greatly from practicing with those guys daily. His development would certainly be accelerated.

I certainly hope he doesn’t, for his sake and for ours this year. The L’s will pile up at KU this year regardless of his presence. For us, it turn a good season into a mess since LL will likely take his whole show on the road like he did coming here and we will scramble for a solid HS coach to fill the void

This is why recruiting news is so dangerous. We hear about someone, see a few clips, their best moments (none of their bonehead moments) then we get disappointed we don't sign someone that may not have ended up great for us anyway. We all clamor for news, they get disappointed we don't sign all 30 people we offer. I say I wish the kid well and I'll focus my attention on the next option. I'm honestly more intrigued with Cone and the connection with his brother.

I feel like with Oats, we heard about every time we talked to a kid, now don't hear much and people get antsy. I get it, I want to know too, but I don't need to hear about 50 offers for people we don't get and hear moaning about not being able to lock up the big recruit. Lance is pretty mum when it comes to offers too and I've been impressed with what he has been able to do.
