UB92
Sure...we aren't even bowl eligible (yet), but that doesn't stop people from predicting UB and bowl games. This is from ESPN.com after the games this week. Makers Wanted Bahamas Bowl Thomas A. Robinson National Stadium, Nassau, Bahamas Dec. 20, 2 p.m., ESPN Bonagura: Buffalo vs. Southern Miss Schlabach: Florida Atlantic vs. Western Michigan Tropical Smoothie Cafe Frisco Bowl Toyota Stadium, Frisco, Texas Dec. 20, 7:30 p.m., ESPN2 Bonagura: UCF vs. Liberty Schlabach: SMU vs. Buffalo At 8 wins, we are getting a bowl. I would say very likely at 7 (though I am sure someone on this board or bullrun will do the analysis to determine our rooting interests). Six is always iffy for the MAC. Ah...SMU. On Gameday one week...then matched up against Buffalo on the bowl predictions list. Buffalo has a shot to be a key cog in some of the pathways for various teams to win the transitive national championship (assuming there are some losses from the undefeated teams soon). That Rutgers > Liberty; Liberty > Buffalo; Buffalo > Temple chain may be important.

RecoveringHillbilly
Watched some Kent St @ Toledo tonight, little D in Toledo winning 35-33, Kent St missed on a 2 pt try late. Over 900 yards of offense, and Toledo had 30 1st downs vs Kent St's 19. Good news for us on offense if our D shuts these teams down.
ChubbyHubby
8 wins and they won't be able to keep us out of a bowl. Let's just win out and leave no questions.

ChubbyHubby
At least they're all predicting a Southern destination. I still have my money on Bahamas. Would prefer Boca, though.
ChicagoBull
Not sure I would like to play SMU in Frisco, but I like the destination. It has been too many years since I've made a trip to Dallas. Frisco gets a thumbs up from me.
ubbulls98
I blame everyone that added to this "bowl prediction" thread for last night's loss. That is all.

RecoveringHillbilly
6-5, shoulda been 8-3 (5-1) and stressing over Nov 29th game results for another East title chance. 7-5 looking very good, but Kent St will still sting..not as a long lasting sting as the Albany loss. rma
East is gone. Miami won it even before tonight.

If we had beaten Ohio and Kent it would have been down to us beating BGSU and Miami losing to Ball St. Would have been a good chance of that. Rebounding from such a horrible loss to hang 49 on Toledo and get a must win was huge tonight. Very happy tonight. Black Friday game should be fun. Finish 7-5 and get a bowl game. Its been a weird year but theyve done it the way they are built (incredible run game) and its worked. Had some tough losses in there but overall they got a great win against Temple, decent half against Penn St as well. Other than the Kent loss which was horrendous this could end up a quietly fun, somewhat unexpected year. A bowl win is the last thing id like really checked off the list.
promotherobot
As maddening as losing the Ohio and Kent games were, it's pretty amazing how we can hang 40+ on people when we're clicking. In fact I'm feeling like if we can go bowling, this team is built to finally win one. I'm rooting for any bowl within an easy flight. Boca would be perfect for me. UBinMD
Here are the current bowl projections, as you can see, we are all over the map, but none of the major outlets has excluded us. We bring an exciting brand of football and have some good story lines with the O-Line, losing our starting QB & Punter, Jared Patterson being snubbed from Division 1, the two headed monster of Patterson/Marks, Joey Banks, Ledarius Mack, etc. We should be a good TV draw in a nice weather environment: Athlon Sports Bahamas Bowl Dec. 20, ESPN at 2 p.m. ET Tie-In: Conference USA vs. MAC Projection: Charlotte vs. Buffalo ESPN Cheribundi Boca Raton Bowl FAU Stadium, Boca Raton, Florida Dec. 21, 3:30 p.m., ABC Bonagura: Buffalo vs. Tulane Camellia Bowl Cramton Bowl, Montgomery, Alabama Dec. 21, 5:30 p.m., ESPN Schlabach: Buffalo vs. Georgia State 247 Sports First Responders: Buffalo vs. Marshall CBS Sports Camellia Bowl Dec. 21 Montgomery, Ala. MAC vs. Sun Belt Buffalo vs. Georgia State Bleacher Report Armed Forces Bowl (January 4): Buffalo vs. Air Force
