  1. If Grant hadn't gotten tossed for a targeting call in the Fordham game, this team is likely 4-4 and in a far greater position to get to 6 wins. He's definitely a good player and seems to be a stud athlete overall. Finishing up 3-1 is going to be a challenge, 2-2 would've been far more reasonable. We'll see what happens, every game starts at 0-0.
  2. My tickets were automatically renewed in early October. I haven't received my parking passes however.
  3. Nice, 2 players that UB developed but couldn't afford to keep.
  4. After a dreadful 3.5 quarters, the Blue Collar Team showed up. Wow. CJ and Wes looked great on O (as usual). Perk was just awful all game, until the shot that mattered most. Hopefully his knee is okay. Davonte with a huge block at the basket in ending time. He and Dontay are tough to combat for teams. On to Wednesday. Who'd have thought that about 15 minutes ago?
  5. 2 losers. I wish someone 10x their size would do to them as they did to the dog.
  6. Well, our program hasn't been without incident in recent history either, unfortunately.
  7. I'm sure there are plenty of people who would love to be on the staff there. He'll have little problem finding quality replacements. It's a pretty big deal to lose all 3 though, especially considering 2 of them were "his guys" before arriving at Bama and the 3rd being a long time Bama guy. With rosters like he's had and surely the amount they'll pay for coaches, he'll be alright I'd wager.
  8. He played pretty well this year since he was finally relatively healthy, but if he goes to ASU Coach BH is king and JW is clearly a bum. Got ya. Wherever he goes, I'll be rooting for him (unless it's MAC, but doubt it would be).
  9. Calvin Cage, one of the most electrifying players UB has ever had. Let's hope he can find a few players like himself to add to the roster.
  10. And Adams and Chatman. Return those 4 as your core, try to convice Laquil to stick around, add a few pieces (start with Dolan to run the point) and this team can be strong next year.
  11. Vikings' KJ Osborn helped rescue man from burning car: 'Right place at the right time' | Fox News What else can be said beyond, damn impressive and Hero?
  12. Not looking good right now, down 10 half way through the 3rd quarter. Need this win if they want to make it to Cleveland.
  13. The only thing worse than watching tonight's game at Ohio was this dinner.
  14. I can get behind that. Regardless, they are much closer to the top than the bottom of their league and all schools at this point anyway.
  15. Well deserved, happy for him. He gave this school a great run of teams in his time here. As was said in the Shawshank Redemption "some birds aren't meant to be caged, their feathers are just too bright.". We were lucky to have had him here. What an amazing rise though. From teacher/HS coach, to assistant at a middle of the road mid-major, to head coach at the same mid-major (bringing the team up to top of the line mid-major), to a top-end league middling program and now getting that team to becoming one of the blue bloods. All in like a dozen years. Job well done!
  16. Damn, if we thought the UB game was bad (and it was), how do you think Vanderbilt's fans feel right now? They're down 74-28 to Bama with 11 minutes to go in the game.
  17. Well, now NIU is in that same group with us. Still should be at the top of it. 3-0 versus those teams.
  18. UB is currently tied with Ball State and BG. I would think UB gets the tiebreak at 2-0 versus them. Long way to go in the season to worry about tiebreakers right now. Still over 50% of the league season to play. One game at a time. If they can split the next 2 (or better), it'd be pretty solid, considering it's the top 2 squads in the league at the moment. This team has shown they can play great and can stink it up. Hopefully it's the first part more often than the second moving forward, like tonight!
  19. Great 3 quarters, before running into the buzzsaw combo of (seemingly paid off) one-sided officiating and a good team. Sadly, their coach is the biggest POS in the league, causing a scuffle going through the line. Class act, as always. This team is good, but definitely can't go up against officials. They're just not deep enough for that. I don't wager that teams in this league will want to play these Bulls. They go so hard to the basket. BB is definitely a good one. I wonder if Wyatt will be the next Nate Oats, waiting in the wings. He's another good one on that bench.
  20. 2-1 in MAC. Who'd have thought that after losing to Canisius to open the season, or watching the D2 loss vs Mercyhurst? 6-1 in the last 7, what a turn around. If they go .500+ in MAC, she should win coach of the year hands down.
  21. Hard not to like this team. They play hard and play big minutes. They just have no depth and have other lacking attributes as well, but considering it's literally a completely new team other than 1 player, it's a lot better than I anticipated. They will be competitive throughout the season as long as they don't get last night's men's officiating crew, as they can't afford a foul-fest game.
