  1. Tennis is technically an outdoor sport for the MAC. The conference championships are to be outside, unless weather prevent them from being played outside.
  2. Why couldn't Buffalo take their spot? $
  3. There was and will only be one true big man, Clarence Clemons.
  4. Have you seen some of the other football stadiums in the conference? UB Stadium is hands down better than Kent State and Eastern Michigan. Eastern's indoor facility is a bubble.
  5. It would be nice. UB could save a lot of money on scholarships if this was true.
  6. No. It is one of 6 bowls for the MAC. https://getsomemaction.com/news/2019/6/4/football-mac-to-face-big-ten-as-primary-bowl-partners-in-the-quick-lane-bowl.aspx
  7. Right now UB has to schedule payday games. That was part of the funding model for building the Murchie Fieldhouse. I have never heard anyone at UB say that it is not ok to boo Army. I would boo them, Navy and especially Air Force any time or place where they are playing UB.
  8. Or may be they find that UB is tough academically.
  9. Cool. Looking forward to the house warming party. Will you be sending a boat to pick us up? Oh wait, I still have 2 years of NCAA eligibility left. That would likely be a violation. Not a violation. While you may have only played for two years, you are clearly beyond five years since you started college.
  10. There is nothing to compare the number against. This is the first yea rthe information is public. It could be the same amount of students looking to transfer as every year before. It is now in the open for the first time.
  11. UB women's basketball assistant head coach Cherie Cordoba is headed to LSU. Good luck coach and Geaux Tigers!
  12. At least you spelled his last name correctly. That is more than I can say for him.
  13. He has been teaching at Joe Licata's football clinics.
  14. An interview from The Spectrum with Mark Alnutt on his d=first year at UB> https://www.ubspectrum.com/article/2019/05/mark-alnutt-q-a
  15. He sure does. It's like an extra year of high-school. It's sticky though because you generally have 5 years to play 4. I think RS becomes weird as he reaches the end of his tenure. That's always been a fine line. The five year period does not begin until a student is enrolled in a college as a full time student (12 or more credits). The 5 year clock is put on hold for students who go on a religious mission (think BYU) or who enter the military. Their five year period is on hold until the return.
  16. Fully agree. As soon as I’m in a comfortable place financially I absolutely plan on contributing. I started as soon as I graduated and without a job while in law school. I started with a $15.00 gift. Give up a beer or a drink a week, give up a pack of cigarettes a week. You will be surprised how quickly you have money for a donation.
  17. The Giving Day process is a new thing at UB. People also do not yet understand how little the state actually gives UB to support it. There was a raise last year approved by the governor. despite the increased costs for every campus there was no more money going to any campus to pay for it. Each school has to figure out how to pay everyone. It is being done through attrition and cut backs. Best example of this is the dental school. Their alums do not give because the state pays for all of it. It is a process to get people to donate and UB is working harder than ever (and basically for the first time on a campus wide coordinated basis) to get it dome.
  18. The information I got was just overall. Did not go into a breakdown by team.
  19. There were a lot people working to get track and field/cross country donations including the coaches and former runners on multiple social media platforms.
