Skogman in the post…wanna see more of it. He has basketball IQ of when to go and when to pass out. When they double and he passes out the defense is in scramble mode. ABC basketball.

You can see him getting more comfortable having the ball in his hands. He is also seeking the rebounds too. Really solid double-double tonight and playing solid D, no fouls. Contesting shots, but straight up D.

He has low post moves. Back downs and shimmies. Instead of learning those low post moves Mballa chose to wanna shoot 3s. When he returns in think the strength could be Skogman picking and popping and in the low post strong side. While letting Mballa float and just eat on the boards.

Alumni Arena has absolutely no atmosphere tonight. It doesn't help that the cheerleaders, band, etc. are not here.

It’s hard when the game was moved 2 days ago and a potential storm can hit at any point. The students being home doesn’t help obviously either you’re right

Much needed win. Defense wasn’t pretty but it did just enough. Skogman was perfect on offense. Jones with valuable exposure and great play, that will go a long way as the season progresses. Those two and foul shooting won this game. Team effort win. Good job by coach sticking with the guys who were effective. Much needed win.

Defense will hopefully improve with Mballa return.  Question will be how they continue to get offense from Skogman once Mballa returns.  Also, glad that Jack shot seems to be returning - they will need that to succeed.  Also, some more promise for bench with Jones / Fagan and perhaps Perry continues to see some minutes.

To me the answer is simple. Skogman has to be a focal point of the half court offense. Not necessarily him scoring but him setting screens on the perimeter, picking and popping off those screens and also running plays for him in the post. To eliminate iso ball the ball should always touch the blocks on every possession. Run Skogman down there have him either score or draw a double and pass out. Rotate the ball to the open cutter or shooter. As for Mballa…he doesn’t need set plays run for him. In fact he often struggles when he is forced to dribble or pass out of doubles. It’s time for him to get back to what he does best. Like he did against Miami. And that’s eating up boards and put backs. Screens and rolls to the basket. As for Jack I still need to see more consistent shooting. He was 3-11 tonight.

Going forward Fagan, Jones and Brewton are your main bench players. Would be nice for Hardnett to find himself and be a useful rotation piece. Perry had solid minutes tonight he can be a nice 9th man off the bench. By March we need Jones to be playing like a sophomore and Fagan to be a big time 6th man. Then the others can chip in. Guys like Brewton and Jack are better when the don’t have to be the man

Agree Jack overall numbers need to improve, but nice to end the o-fer streak.

As for Hardnett, I am personally pulling for the guy...the stretch he had last year was incredible...hope he figures it out.  If he does it will help out come March.

It is nice to have some good things to say after a game.

Team played well offensively today. They struggled on the defensive side once again.    Gave up what seemed like a lot of o boards. Williams is the best player on offense on this team, but he struggles defensively. Overall it was a well earned win. Congratulations!

For sure. I’m rooting for all our guys. I’m at a loss when it comes to Hardnett. He was starting at the end of last season. Now he looks lost out there. Just a weird regression. But agree…hope he finds it by March. Hopefully it’s just a funk. Brewton had some misfires from 3 but he had a couple mid range buckets. Wanna see more of that.

Hardnett is clearly hurt. Dude could barely walk out there.
