Are you forgetting this team is potentially targeting a head assistant from a P5 program who is used to recruiting 3+ stars? Segu/Williams? Hawkins/Noah? Jeremy Harris was a 4-star then JuCo player. Technically the best recruit to ever play here, via 247 You can get high recruits to come here and play for a ranked team (yes we will finish in the polls ranked). A team that's made the tournament 4 out of 5 years, under different coaches. A team that's been selling out seats, winning tournament games, and has buy-in from a P5 AD. A new coach has this portal at his disposal and will grab some of them who "underperformed". Alabama cant start 400 players. Sorry Reggie isn’t here. He’s out back trying to figure out how many players it takes to run a dribble hand off.

SGBull
Jordan Brown transferring out of Nevada. That is a pipe dream though.

961819
Highly unlikely but I want them to go all in on recruiting Connor Vanover. 7’4 with scoring ability and a 3pt shot

trueblue32
Wrong Jalen Harris, that's the one from Louisiana Tech and then Nevada. The one we recruited was the starting PG at Arkansas all year.

No it’s the same one that decommitted from us, went to like New Mexico, then transferred to Arkansas Both Jalen Harris from Arkansas and Nevada are in the portal Edited April 11, 2019 by 961819

Kevin
With our new recruiting coach from UMKC, their entire team is in the portal. Xavier Bishop (JR), Rob Whitfield (JR), Brandon McKissic (SO), Jordan Giles (JR), and Danny Dixson (RJR) http://www.espn.com/mens-college-basketball/team/stats/_/id/140/table/game/sort/avgPoints/dir/desc Who jumps out to you to pluck? Forward? 3 point shooter? PG/scorer? Combo guard?
UB05
I mean, they went 8-24 presumably for a reason. Not too excited about their roster but I’ll trust the coaches decisions

DooleyBull06
The bigger questions are where does he recruit from? What region does he have ties to? He’s from Chicago...I like that. Lots of ballers in the Chi.
Kevin
Thorpe gained some familiarity with the Mid-American Conference when he worked two seasons as an assistant coach at Ball State. In 2001-02, the Cardinals posted a 23-12 record and earned a trip to the National Invitation Tournament. That campaign included upset wins over UCLA and Kansas at the Maui Invitational. From 1996–2000, Thorpe helped guide Lewis University to a 75-37 mark and two trips to the NCAA Division II tournament. He was the Flyers' recruiting coordinator and was responsible for recruiting Illinois, Wisconsin, Ohio, Iowa and all junior colleges. During that time, the Flyers produced two Division II All-Americans. 2 minutes ago, DooleyBull06 said: The bigger questions are where does he recruit from? What region does he have ties to? trueblue32
Dixon would be the only one presumably immediately eligible as a RS Senior grad transfer. Nothing too exciting but I'll take an experienced 6'10" big for some frontcourt depth. McKissic is also interesting as a sit 1 play 2. He made the WAC all defensive team, and seems solid. Bishop and Whitfield seem decent but idk if they're worth a scholarship for 2 years to play 1, maybe if we can't fill out a class. Probably no future stars in the group but the top few players from Kenpom #238 could definitely be role players in the MAC.
