MuchMany
Why build and institute green bus rapid transit when you can build preposterous light rail infrastructure into the inner ring suburbs that don't want it for 10x the cost? UB92
Has anyone read or heard (via interview) what Lembo has said about Patenaude? It is obvious Lembo has brought in guys he is comfortable with, but is inheriting a brand new OC. Well…new to UB anyway as Patenaude is long on experience. He connects well with his players and knows how to manage an offensive staff. He will do an excellent job evaluating and best utilizing our personnel."

zigo230
I heard some of the podcast. All i can say is that Pete Lembo sure has a lot of connections around college football and stories. The guy seems like he's super organized and has a plan for the program and structure. Hopefully it all adds up to a watchable product on the field and wins.

I love the fact he met personally with all 86 players, that really says a lot about him as a human. Let's hope we can find the best use of our talent with our offensive and defensive schemes. I am cautiously optimistic that he can get us back to a high level of play.

I think redevelopment the Boulevard and Eastern Hills Malls that I grew up in is a waste of time and money. Building outdoor stores in winter wonderland Buffalo when they don’t go to the indoor shopping malls because of online shopping at people’s own homes is a waste of tax dollars and time because I don’t think it’s going to get anymore people to leave the comfort of shopping at home in there pajamas it’s too easy why go out to stand in long lines to shop? His experience is so evident, or maybe it is just in comparision of what a bad match Mo was for UB football. Even appeared from Alnutt interview that he recognized his mistake, and the exit of Mo wasn't above board and sincere communications from Mo.

He was surprisingly open about it and you could tell he felt screwed over by Mo at the end. Overall, I think he realizes it was a blessing in disguise, but the process for the end was definitely sketchy and Mo did not hold up his end of the bargain he agree to with Alnutt. It was a refreshingly open conversation. As for Lembo, he is just so much more natural and open. You can tell this is not his first rodeo and he's not out to "prove himself". He has a broad range of contacts in college football and he has been around alot of great people. You can tell he is confident in his organizational skills and is ready to allow his coordinators to be active within the guardrails he sets up. I think we will see immediate results on the field. My one concern is who will be under center, not sure that person is on the roster, but maybe he is depending on the scheme we run.

Re: Building a new stadium in the same location, regardless of whether it has a dome, wouldn't justify the cost, as large events like the Super Bowl and Final Four would never happen. Anyone remember we hosted World University Games? The traffic was ridiculous. We don't have enough hotel rooms and the airport is not big enough. Forward thinking would be Bills/Bulls stadium project in Amhest.

Dabulls
So I met with a former player the other day, one of my best friends as well. He had played under Leopold and Linguist. He didn’t have many great things to say about linguist at all. He said the majority of the team didn’t like his coaching style and said he was very unorganized. My friend also told me that he had full control of the offense and didn’t let the OC do much if at all. He’s now ran out of eligibility but still gets to practice with the team during spring ball. He loves Lembo and the consensus around the team is that Lembo is a great coach who gets along well with his players. My friend thinks the team is in really good hands with him

I believe one of the quotes was that a "weight was lifted". Sounds like it was not much fun and everyone was afraid to make a mistake, which of course, typically leads to more mistakes. If in fact he was overseeing the offense, that would explain why it looked the way it did. He has minimal offensive experience and trying to be an OC as a defensive guy is usually a terrible idea.

UB not only had that weight lifted, but got paid to remove an anchor. Best possible option for UB, in my view. The team was a mess the past few years. Sadly, It was evident to anyone with eyes and even a rudimentary understanding of football.

We kept 95% of the team and all the recruits. I really think this could be an 8 win team given the improved staff
