Was at the game. Wow. They looked incredible. They played with tenacity the entire game. They never let up! They’re going to be a fun team to watch. I’m expecting big things

NIU about to take down Washington. This UW team is pretty weak but still another P5 win for the MAC.

Not going to be surprised with an upset. The talent and experience and rebounding ability is all there for UB. Michigan is returning some of the least starting minutes in the nation. I expect UB to keep this interesting all game.

Pundits seem to have their eyes on this game. I'm honestly not holding my breath for an upset here to open the season. What I want to see is some of our older players step up as on-court leaders and for the team to play with grit and composure. If we come out deer-in-headlights then I think we'll expect a slow-progression throughout the year that hopefully catalyzes by MAC Tournament time.

I hope you are right. The performance today was kind of Quinn level...and had shades of Hofher. But I think the coach gets a pass for the reasons you mention. He has his work cut out for him, though.

If this is FLJ swan song, I hope she goes out big. This team is special and deep.

We have regressed so much on D. With Coach Mo’s background, I assumed that would be a strength. Apparently I was mistaken.

Second chance points is a big strength, guards who are able to rebound and forward who can get a second chance for a put back. It’s going to be interesting.

Looking at the roster a person would assume we are a dangerous perimeter shooting team. Brewton and jack both led their previous teams in three point shooting and Segu has shown he can hit threes as well. Hopefully Brewton can show us the type of player he was at Coastal, I’ll give him the benefit of the doubt being hurt last season. I think we will be better this year than last, we’re going to need it because teams are really going to target Williams and Mballa

Thats a quality win no doubt possibly the best win a mac team will get out of conference Maybe I had bigger expectations but I came away from that game not really worrying about Ohio. (in the sense I believe Buffalo's best is better than Ohio's best) Wilson does change how that team will play a lot, so thats a big loss

I'm biased but I disagree. I thought Ohio looked really sharp. Mark Sears had 27 points on 10-11 shooting with six rebounds and four assists. Xavier transfer and returning Bobcat, Jason Carter had 20 points and 10 rebounds. OU was missing Dwight Wilson with an injury. Don't know what's up with that. One thing obvious watching the game is that Ohio can score well in the halfcourt. They have have plenty of shooters and bigs that can spread the court with their range. Belmont entered as the 2nd ranked mid-major in the country behind Gonzaga according to the Mid-Major Top 25 (flawed poll I understand). That's a quality win for them to open their season.

I mean, I always hope that we're going to do good and kill it, but I still need to remember that Mo only came in like a month before the season. I think the team is showing a lot of good stuff for having to go through such a drastic change so fast. I certainly hope Mo is taking notes and looking at where he needs to improve next year at recruiting. It'll be a tough rest of the season, but I'm sure we'll come back stronger next year.

Myers is not a good thrower of the football. No touch whatsoever and to make matters worse, no accuracy. Kind of a rough combo for a QB. Mo has his work cut out for him this offseason. Not sure if it’s all injuries but the team has regressed. The high point was the 4th Qtr vs Coastal Carolina and the first half against ODU. There’s been a lot of bad Qtrs of football since then. Thankfully we aren’t Akron level yet.

So, for the 12th time... If Miami wins out, they win the MAC East.

Miami Ohio just beat Georgia Tech and Ohio beat Belmont

WBB beat the crap out of Canisius and hopefully MBB does well tomorrow. A bowl is out the window at this point. Let’s see if Mo can get some recruits and transfers. We will see what a full offseason does for his game plan and staff.

Was anyone watching this game? At the end did the Ohio St timeout advance the ball to midcourt? Or did they pass there then call timeout?

Just mystifying coverages and missing our starting DE's hasn't helped. Even as we slaughtered Akron's bad OL, the last 2 weeks we are downright inept. Once the super-Sr's move on it is hard to even think about next season's defense.

This team is really hard to watch, especially in 1st half’s. Not used to seeing our D get worked so easily.

I've got both up at the same time, haha. Women's bball is the only thing keeping me from crying about the damn football game.
