I agree - based on quality of team - VT would be biggest competition 4 minutes ago, UBlearns said: USF meaning South Florida or San Francisco? Dabulls
Found some write up about him but couldn’t share it for some reason. Basically said that he’s incredibly quick and fast- track star fast, consistent three point shooter, insane ball handling skills, freakishly athletic (not afraid to dunk in traffic). The article said that his only weakness is his court vision and can become a bit more consistent from mid range. Whoever wrote the article also said that he’s a underrated high major prospect who will develop quickly
MuchMany
(checks notes) uhh is this like Mr. Nowhereville? Right guys? 😂 Very cool, out of the blue news. Great start to what's going to be a big class.

mikescherrer8
Very exciting. He had a ton of offers and we made out well. Great start to next year’s class.
UBinMD
These coaches are certainly bringing in high level talent. Now to keep improving on court performance, but easier to do when you start with better athletes.

MuchMany
Seems like he has a relationship with Demarco Cuffey, a member of our shiny new football freshman class. They're both from Waldorf, MD. Current hoops frosh Zaakir Williamson also showed him some DMV love. Wonder if the Pattersons and others have helped create a nice pipeline from the Mid-Atlantic for the big two sports. I like the idea of dominating the eastern edge of MAC territory and reaching places the other schools may not.

With success in football and basketball that’s great, add in the Buffalo alumni with BlueCollar U and Coach Mo getting our football players back in the mix, we could continue to improve our recruiting classes year after year. Our basketball recruiting class this year is ranked #1 on 247Sports. Football not at high but they seem to rank football on volume as much as quality from what I see.

I compiled some facts about the incoming MAC freshman class. Here are those facts: Some observations that suggest possible that UB class at top of MAC include: Highest (out of 2) ranked recruit on 247sports - Mading at 0.8756. It seems that COVID may have resulted in fewer players being ranked on 247sports. Only two recruits ranked 3 stars on verbalcommits - both committed to UB. Average number of offers - highest for Buffalo. Average of 3 top 100 offers for three recruits (2 other than Buffalo). Average rank of UB recruits best offer is lowest at 56. Of course, the quality of recruits will have to be proven on the court over the next four years - but there are some encouraging signs that our incoming class is at or near the top of the MAC. One other interesting fact - not many of the players show up in BT top 10 contributors. I attribute this to seniors sticking around for another year. Great information, unfortunately 247 is missing a few things. Ohio signed a 247 3-star, Top-250 player earlier this year, AJ Clayton. He reclassified from 2022 to 21' and was getting looks from all of the big Ohio schools despite being from the middle of nowhere. https://247sports.com/player/aj-clayton-46102825/ The transfer portal also plays a big role in this and it's often hard to quantify a newcomer's value. Take for instance, Jason Carter from Xavier to Ohio. He was a star in the MAC but an average contributor at Xavier. What will he be like back on the Bobcats? One last tidbit after not seeing this mentioned anywhere, Ohio also added a Rivals Top-150 (#135) verbal for 2022 in Aidan Hadaway who chose the Bobcats over Georgia. Right now, it appears to be a two-way recruiting battle in the MAC between UB and OU. https://n.rivals.com/content/prospects/2022/aidan-hadaway-276103 Neither has a distinct advantage over the other as long as Boals and Whitesell remain.
