Some bad calls against Akron. That jacquez call was a clear charge. But ultimately poor decision making down the stretch. You give UCLA a window they going to take it. Credit to Akron just didn’t have enough offensive firepower and Ali Ali needed a big second half which he didn’t have.

Ball State to hire Michael Lewis.  Lewis has strong ties to the state as a former Indiana player.  In addition, he has spent 18 seasons as an assistant coach, including the last three at UCLA.  Lewis played at IU under head coach Bob Knight from 1996-2000, served as a graduate assistant for Knight for two seasons at Texas Tech.   Based on what I can tell seems like a solid hire.

Steele will probably be a boon to Miami recruiting, but if you think Whitesell is a guy who underperforms his talent level, Steele is a different level. He posted 247 recruiting ranks of 66, 27, 26, 54 with 0 tournament appearances.  Prior to Steele Xavier made the tournament 12/13 seasons then went 0/4 with Steele.  Xavier went 4-10 down the stretch which got Steele fired then his assistant stepped up and led them on a 5 game win streak to the NIT title.  Having the ex-X coach sounds sexy but in the end there's a reason he's accepting the Miami job

Sounds like we should hire that assistant who led them to the NIT title.

Kent State's DJ Johnson taking his 'show on the road'.

“Elite” shooter as he’s called above might be a bit of a stretch…Johnson was 11/41 (26.8%) on 3’s.  That % is comparable (although at a much lower volume of shots) to a certain much-maligned shooter on the past 2 years Bulls’ rosters whose shooting I’m 99.9% certain nobody on this board would label as being “elite”.

Trimble from Akron listed as moving on to Missouri State.  Are most of these guys just transferring to transfer? That doesn't seem like a step up in any way, for someone who has received solid minutes at Akron. I'll just never understand this nonsense. Maybe it's closer to home...I don't know much about him.
